Dedicated Video Card Laptop

Everything about this unit is great except the battery life. With a dedicated video card, I expected this. Effective use unplugged is 2 hours, tops. Again, the norm with a laptop in this class. Free Win11 upgrade was simple & fast. Quick delivery from BHP as always. I would buy again.

The micro SD card case ought to have a slot dedicated to this reader.

This CPU is running quite smoothly and the on board graphics are fairly good for a non dedicated graphics card.

I love this monitor. I only wish I could afford two of them. I also wish the video card in my laptop NVidia AX4000 could drive at 120hz like my M2 MB Pro. I also use the built in KVM which is awesome too.

Played some games under 60fps! Budget processor for who doesn't have a dedicated graphic card.

It holds enough data, with the necessary write speeds needed for my dedicated astrophotography camera. The extreme is nice to have because a lot of those imaging sessions take place in freezing cold weather. B&H had the absolute best price on the web for this card, and knowing it was from a reputable seller gave me the peace of mind that it is an authentic SanDisk card.

I use this with a Windows VM on my laptop (Fedora), where I passed the dedicated GPU through to the Windows guest for gaming, and the screen streams back to the host with an application called Looking Glass. The dongle is exactly what I needed to make the whole thing work.

I bought the i7 version with 32 gig of RAM. Build quality is excellent. Very lightweight for the performance. Runs cooler than any laptop I have ever owned. My one complaint is the lack of dedicated Page Up/Down Home and End keys. You have to press a function key in combination with one of the four cursor arrow keys to move up or down quickly. My 2020 HP Spectre X360 is almost exactly the same size as the Dragonfly, yet HP managed to fit dedicated Home, End and Page Up/Down keys on the keyboard. For a high end laptop like the Dragonfly, it's inexplicable that they could not fit dedicated versions of these four frequently used keys on the keyboard. Other than this one issue, the laptop is fast and a perfect travel companion. The built in full size HDMI port is a nice touch for connecting an external monitor or projector. The touchpad is responsive and accurate. Battery life is great so far. Despite my one complaint about the keyboard, I would buy it again, but for this price, one expects perfection, not almost perfection.
