The SX200 is a great camera with just several minor ergonomic issues. First and foremost the image quality is terrific throughout the zoom range. Compared to a regular Elf the image is much sharper and at 12 MP you can cut later and still have a high resolution image. Size wise it is just a bit ticker than a regular compact and shoot. The zoom is quite fast as well as the focus. The back screen is excellent- it washes out somewhat in bright light but not as bad as older cameras. It is high resolution and you can inspect your shot easily. Image stabilization works great. The shortcomings are small and not bad. The pop out light even when you do not need it is bad idea. Also it comes exactly where your fingers are when you hold it. The recovery after a shot is slow, acceptable but I wish it was a bit faster. The cover for the lens is flimsy.

This camera is lightweight and easy to handle. I have used it mostly for birding pictures, where I can crop the image and still have high resolution. And B&H threw in an extra battery and sd cars and carrying bag to boot. Very happy I go this camera.

I have been using the scanner for the last 2 weeks and the quality is really impressive. It could be a little bit slow when you scan an image in high resolution, but the result are great. I'll recommend the Plustek OpticFilm 8100 to those who are looking to review old negatives with the hopes of jumping again to shoot 35mm. Enjoy!

I use it to proof wallcovering artwork - just black and white, but I need to see a high resolution image. The lighter weight is great for this type of work and the lower cost is economical.

I changed over to this system and I love it. Filters appear to be high quality with great image resolution and so easy to use. Magnet appears to be strong enough to keep everything in place. I also bought the 112mm set for my Nikon Z 14-24 S lens. I will not go back to screw in filters.

In general I prefer single focal length lenase, like the 35mm f2.8 Sony/Zeiss E mount lens that I used on A7R earlier today of a whale leaping out of the water. It was a very long way away, but the high resolution of A7R made this image possible. The 2nd image is cropped from the 1st; the inset image is from the 2nd. On A7S which is the high-iso champion, but with 1/3 the resolution of A7R, this 24-70 mm Sony/Zeiss zom lens is ideal because the "cropping" can be done in camera.

I recently got back into film and was shocked by how expensive lab scans are even at low resolution. Lower resolution TIFFs were about $14 a roll, but I was quoted $12 per image for high resolution TIFF scan. I went for the $14 scans but I could see the color and resolution were compromised, so I figured I would try doing it myself. This is obviously a premium kit, and it took me a couple of hours to figure everything out - getting the correct height of the camera to fill the image frame, leveling things out - this takes a little time. I bought a 70mm Sigma APO Macro lens which made things a lot easier as it provides 1:1 magnification. All of the tools that come in this kit are high quality, and once you're set up scanning is a pleasure, and you get high quality, repeatable results. Sure it takes up space, breaking it down is not ideal as then you need to set everything up again, but having a dedicated scanning setup if you shoot a decent amount is really nice. I bought the Valoi Easy35 which is basically a light source you mount on extension tubes to your lens, but the build quality is nowhere near as good as this Negative Supply Kit, and it is not as much fun to use. This NS setup is expensive, but the results you get, the build quality, and overall pleasure I get from using it is worth the money.

I have had some issues with circular polarizers at high image resolution, yet this Zeus's polarizer as no issues. Very happy with both the efficacy of polarization and imaging transparency. Great polarizer.
