Definitive Technology Computer Speakers Review

AW6500BRBRI owned a pair of BP6 speakers 10 years ago, so I have some experience of the quality of Definitive Technology speakers. Recently I was in the market for outdoor speakers and decided to give the AW6500 from Definitive Technology a go and boy I'm glad I did! For an all-weather speaker, the dynamic range and low frequency performance blows me away. I foresee many years of enjoyment of these speakers on my deck. Highly recommended.

Definitive Technology has done it again with DM70s! I consider myself to be an advanced intermediate level Home Theater enthusiast and these speakers deliver on all levels, bass, mids, and highs. Prior to upgrading to the DM70s I owned the BP8020s, great speakers but comparing them to the DM70s is an apples and oranges comparison. The build quality has been greatly improved. The lack of LFE input isn’t missed and is an enhancement because this design approach opens the door to using 4 DM70s or more in a system with full-range audio at all channels! They definitely hit deep as u can see from my MultEQ-X measurements, without applying my room target curve these speakers play down in the 20Hz range. These speakers can easily be utilized without a dedicated sub but adding one definitely will take your system to the next level. I recommend 2 subs if you have the space to maintain balance. The highs are very articulate but not overly bright and the height of the mid/highs module is optimal for listening in a seated position. If you are searching for your next set of towers look no further, you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

I previously had the Definitive Technology W9, which had excellent sound but no ability to modify the EQ levels through the app. The Denon Home 350 delivers improved sound and user experience, with the ability to connect via wifi or bluetooth, and the easy to use and great looking HEOS app. I stream primarily through Spotify or Soundcloud and both are easy to access through the app. Highly recommend.

This is my first Sonos speaker and wow! I have an expensive Definitive Technology 5.1 package for our main space and a 2.1 Bose system in our master. These are 5-6 years old now but this one little speaker blows the Bose out of the water and it's nearly as impactful the 5.1 system. I haven't looked into multiple speakers for various rooms yet since I only have one but this little guy has sold me on Sonos! Great job Sonos team!!

I bought this for the bedroom surround system and boy it is a very nice subwoofer! It compliments the Definitive Technology front speakers and Infinity center speaker for watching TV and listening to music when I'm not feeling good and staying in bed. This Sony subwoofer would work nicely as a lower cost subwoofer for a main surround system.

I purchased this for my 1400 watt definitive technology triple 14” sub With 1 active 2 passive radiators. It’s the perfect size and works great!

Crutchfield recommend this model after my definitive speakers model aw650 blew. I was very disappointed, but I'm happy with these. All I wish they the bass of the aw650. So far great sound.

I was very impressed at the sound and the quality packed into this little speaker. It can hold its weight against some speakers 2 to 3 times it's size. Connected easily and works well with the JBL app. I also like the fact that it comes with the latest Bluetooth technology Auracast which allows you to connect other speakers, even different types that also utilize this new technology. Long battery life of up to 7 hours is also great in a speaker this size. It is also waterproof and dustproof so you don't have to worry about it on your adventures, bike rides, hiking, pool, pickleball, walks, you name it.
