Dell Desktop Computer 7010

Bought this Dell Optiplex 7010 to replace an older Dell computer that was getting old and slow. This new one is much smaller than my old unit, runs very quiet and stays cool. First time I have used Windows 11 but I found it pretty intuitive and the initial setup was very easy even for this low tech guy. Can't believe how fast this computer boots up! My only complaint, and this is a Microsoft issue I think, is that the installed media player has no provision to rip CD's that I can find. (Told you I am low tech). That is the main reason I bought a computer with an optical drive. I ended up having to download the legacy media player from the Microsoft store and now I am a happy camper. Great machine so far.

Dell is reliable, and the Optiplex 7020 gives me what I need in a desktop computer.

8GB SDRAM is much better than 4GB in my DELL desktop computer.

Used two of these on a Dell 7010 i5-3470 with the built-in Intel 2500 graphics, together with the built-in VGA port, to run THREE VGA monitors simultaneously under Windows 10 . Need to disable the Dell driver and then get the driver from Intel as Dell disable 3-screen functionality. I was a little sceptical at first whether these would do the job, as many 'active' adapters are a lot more expensive. An added bonis is that these don't need a separate USB port for power.

Allowed me to easily mount an SSD drive in a an older Dell desktop computer.

Bought this to repair my Dell desktop. The same one that was in it.

I used the Module to upgrade a new Dell Inspiron desktop computer from 12 to 24 GB (had to remove a 4 GB module and replace it with the new one). I installed the module myself and had no problems doing this. The PC is noticeably faster with the expanded memory.

All I had to do was plug it in a usb port and my Dell Desktop computer model 6VPLBHK was working with Bluetooth again. You see I was experimenting with the Bluetooth settings and somehow lost my Bluetooth when I had either changed some settings or updated Windows 10. Bluetooth is now on my desktop and it works. It turned out to be the perfect solution for connecting a new state-of-the-art Dell desktop computer to an older monitor.
