Dell Dock Mac Dual Monitor

Of an old monitor. Works perfectly with an old dell monitor and a Mac mini.

This dual dock is perfect for my Mac backup workflow. Works as expected. No issues.

Color accurate as Dell claims. I run it in a slightly scaled mode with my Macbook Pro 16. I use USB-C to my Satechi Thunderbolt dock connected to the computer and it works flawlessly. Note that if you use an HDMI adapter from a dock or the hdmi connection on a dock, or certain HDMI to USB-C adapters you may have the issue with it flashing black randomly very quickly maybe a couple times a day. It is like a disconnect type behavior. This is an Apple issue, not a Dell one. See the forums online. If running in full 4k unscaled, connect a quality HDMI cable directly to the Mac, or use a quality USB-C / Thunderbolt cable. You will be fine. At 4k native, I think the PPI is just a hair too small for comfort on text. I think the 5k 41 Dell monitor on native resolution has a slightly lower PPI so you could probably get away with that. I cam from a 43 Dell 4k monitor on native resolution so this is obviously a little more dense than that. Regardless, the style, quality, image quality, color, brightness, and the wonderful usb hub built into the monitor are great. No, unlike my 43, this does not have built in speakers, but Dell sells a clip on soundbar or you can just buy a slim computer speaker and sneak it under your desk somewhere since the sound quality is not the greatest anyways. For normal people I think 32 1440p is probably the best resolution to diagonal ratio, but 32 4k with a slight scale is great for getting just enough windows and not being too hard to read.

I tried other dual monitor stands (generics), but the Dell MDS19 is the best. Solid, heavy, zero wiggle while typing or moving things around on a desk.

it works w/ my xps 8100 for dual monitor purposes. Dell recommended me wrong adapter for dual monitor twice!!! But i was able to find the same adapter that I already got w/ my system on cablestogo :-).

This allowed my new Mac to connect to an old Dell monitor. Not ideal set up, but working perfectly until a new monitor comes my way.

this is a fantastic standard monitor. i have them set up as dual monitors for each dock, so 10 in total. easy set up, no frills, but great clarity. rivals more expensive monitors i've deployed.
