Dell Docking Station Cable To Laptop

Used to connect between HP laptop docking station and Dell monitor. Worked well.

I had a dell docking station but it would not allow me to turn on the laptop from it. I could only turn on or wake up the laptop by opening it up. The HP docking station allows the me to turn the laptop on without having to open it up. Please with my HP docking station

Using this docking station with my Dell XPS15. One Thunderbolt connection is now all I need to have my laptop connected to two QHD monitors (one of them widescreen), desktop speakers, keyboard/mouse, and a backup hard drive. That still leaves a few ports available for additional accessories. The only thing that would possibly make this dock better would be the SD card readers that some other brands include. It's nice to be able to just unplug one connection to go portable - and plug back in for a desktop-like experience. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I use a laptop, docking station, and two monitors. The Dell UltraSharp 31.5 is a good monitor for editing photos. The display has sharp images on a large screen.

If you have a Dell Latitude with a docking station, the only way you can get full resolution on a 30 monitor is with a DisplayPort cable. This did the trick.

So simple to install and works seamlessly with my Dell docking station.

I needed a type-c connector and used the Belkin Thunderbolt cable to connect my docking station to my laptop. The process to connect the cable was very simple and the performance of my laptop, monitor, and peripherals was outstanding. The cable delivered maximum speeds reliably and also supported my external drives and charging devices. The cable is built very well with very sturdy covers at the ends of the cable to prevent cracking and peeling or cuts when bending it often. It’s a very simple cable that is very flexible yet it won’t get tangled up when moving it around your devices. I didn’t find any of my equipped type-c devices encountering any issues with the cable. This is an outstanding cable that is built extremely well and will deliver data speeds as needed and I give the Belkin Thunderbolt Cable a 5-STAR Rating.

Ordered this docking station, came in the next day. It's small, and plugs into the computer/laptop via USB-C Cable, which is nice because it allows me to put my laptop in a more convenient area, and of course takes up less space. Works great too.

My old Thunderbolt cable sheathing was coming apart at the end and wasn't long enough for me to place my docking station back behind my monitors like I wanted. This Belkin cable solves both of those problems, and provides 100W power delivery, where my old cable only gave me 40W. I really like the high power rating, as it allows my laptop to charge up much faster. This cable is super long, roughly 6ft, and has a very premium build quality feel to it. I love using Thunderbolt cables as they really declutter my workspace and make docking and undocking my laptop as simple as plugging in a cable. This is hands-down the best Thunderbolt cable I've owned!

Have had the cables for two weeks and so far they have been working. My setup is a little unique. I have four Dell 1920x1200 monitors connected to a Dell Thunderbolt4 docking station for my work laptop that also has a Thunderbolt4 port. The cables connect the first set of two monitors to the two Thunderbolt ports on the docking station via the USB-C/DispayPort 1.4 port on the monitors. The second set of monitors are daisy chained to the first set's DisplayPort Out For MST port. Using this arrangement allow me to pass the video and USB data thru a single cable to each set of monitors. I did this because the Logitech USB headset I have has intermittent noise problem when connected to the docking station's USB ports, but doesn't when connected to the monitor's USB ports. The first set of monitors were originally connected to the docking station thru DisplayPort cables and then used a separate USB cable to provide an uplink from the docking station to the monitor's USB-C/DisplayPort port. The headset would still have the intermittent noise. The only other way to prevent it was to plug it directly into the laptop. It was an expension solution to just having one cable plugged into the laptop to run everything else. Plus I wanted to see what kind of connections could be made using the Thunderbolt technology. The reason I didn't daisy chain all four monitors with one cable is because two of the monitors are older and don't have that capability.
