Dell Docking Station Charge Laptop No Usb C

Used to connect between HP laptop docking station and Dell monitor. Worked well.

I had a dell docking station but it would not allow me to turn on the laptop from it. I could only turn on or wake up the laptop by opening it up. The HP docking station allows the me to turn the laptop on without having to open it up. Please with my HP docking station

Using this docking station with my Dell XPS15. One Thunderbolt connection is now all I need to have my laptop connected to two QHD monitors (one of them widescreen), desktop speakers, keyboard/mouse, and a backup hard drive. That still leaves a few ports available for additional accessories. The only thing that would possibly make this dock better would be the SD card readers that some other brands include. It's nice to be able to just unplug one connection to go portable - and plug back in for a desktop-like experience. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I use a laptop, docking station, and two monitors. The Dell UltraSharp 31.5 is a good monitor for editing photos. The display has sharp images on a large screen.

This works quite well as long as you don't use a Dell USB docking station. That docking station overwhelms the USB bus with video signal and makes any other hub time out. Can't even use the docking station just for video and this for the USB. Otherwise it works like a charm. Fast switching between machines.

I'm using it to share a USB docking station between two laptops, a dell and an HP. Th docking station has two monitors, a mouse, and a keyboard. It seems to be working really well.

This docking station was easy to set up. The quality of it seems to be nice and the docking station looks premium. It seems to be working flawlessly for what I need. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Viewsonic TD2455 24" touch monitor in order to upgrade from an older Viewsonic 22" touch monitor. The additional features provided by the TD2455 were beyond my expectations. I use the monitor with a laptop and a docking station in order to see a bigger display. By using the USB-C connection to the monitor and my laptop, I was able to eliminate the docking station and all the wires it entailed. Specifically, the single USB-C connection provides power to my laptop and controls the video and touch functions of the monitor. The monitor also has two built-in downstream USB-A ports. I use one of these ports to plug in the unifying receiver for my full-size wireless keyboard and mouse. I love the new monitor, its beautiful display, and the less clutter resulting from fewer wires needed. My only disappointment is that the USB-C cable was not included in the box with the monitor. I had to purchase it separately.
