Dell Gaming Laptop Power Usage

That's about it! We received the memory unit quickly, installed it (in a Dell gaming laptop) ... which took about 4 minutes ... and it has been working perfectly. The laptop only had 8GB previously, and this addition dramatically improved system performance. 5 |

Good balance between power usage and performance for gaming, Does a great job for consuming just 70-80W maximum under intense load. Recent price drop brought it down to a reasonable bargain vs other options. Especially great upgrade if you have an older AM4 board and previous gen Ryzen CPU. 5 |

This is my first review I have ever written (buying computers sine the 1970's), and only because this CalDigit Element is so good I was compelled to write. I have a new Dell XPS 15 inch 9530. I had options of purchasing the Dell WD22TB4 hub (made for this laptop) or getting the CalDigit. After doing a lot of research I choose the CalDigit because of the vast amount of thunderbolt ports. My Dell laptop had some issues like 4 motherboard replacements, 3 speaker replacements, one screen replacement and one keyboard (ALL IN THE FIRST YEAR). I was hesitant to buy another Dell product. I have my OEM Dell power adapter plugged into the USB-C (right side) to power the laptop because the CalDigit only delivers 60 watts which is no problem. The laptop understands which power to use. What do I gain from this decision. I have 3 empty Thunderbolt 4 ports on the CalDigit and one Thunderbolt 4 port on the laptop free (the other TB4 is used to connect the CalDigit). So I end up with: 4 Thunderbolt 4 ports free 4 USB - A (10 gb) available I have the best of both types of ports. I rather make my own decision as to what the port does instead of a hub having only a set determined specific device ports. This unit out performs any hub I have ever had. In fact the CalDigit's construction is amazingly well built and looks good. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t tested this with four screens. I’ve tested it twitch two gaming screens and it powered it up. I have a powerful laptop and all of my attachments fit perfectly in it. It is really convenient to not to have to keep detaching all of my cords. Instead of plugging in everything to my laptop, I can keep it plugged into the port and just use a cable to connect it all. The vertical Design saves me a lot of space as well. The design is really catchy and stylish. The power holds up for me with two, powerful monitors, a laptop, and tons of other attachments, as I do a lot of video editing. Overall, super impressed with the plug n’ play ability and the amount of power it can hold. A must have for someone who designs videos or does gaming. 5 |

This Gaming Laptop is a solid choice for those who appreciate a machine that balances performance with practicality. It's equipped with Intel i7 ensuring that it can handle the demands of the latest games and multitasking with ease. The 4050 GPU delivers crisp, clear graphics, making every gaming session a visual treat. The Onyx Gray finish gives it a mature, sophisticated look, while the 15-inch display offers a generous view of your digital endeavors. It's a bit on the heavier side, but that's a small price to pay for a laptop that's as reliable as it is powerful. Whether you're gaming, working, or both, this laptop is a dependable partner for the long haul. 5 |
