Dell Laptop Battery Only Charges To 80

Helped my Dell laptop.

Only problem is that I should of bought the XK-80.

This keyboard has great battery life. It's sleek, slim and the typing experience is great. I only have one negative. I use this to connect to my MacBook Pro and I'm also using it to connect to a Dell laptop between work and home use. I have to reconnect to the MacBook after I've been using it on the Dell laptop even though the dell has been shutdown completely. If I don't use the Dell it will reconnect every time.

I purchased this to replace the aging battery pack on my Dell Laptop. The look, feel, and installation appears to be identical to the original Dell equipment (of course it doesn't have the Dell logo). It has restored my laptop runtime back to the original duration.

This is a follow up on my original review from 12/3/2022 (I do not see a way to update an existing review). All my findings in the first review are still valid and the laptop has proven itself a reliable workhorse. However I discovered one intermittent issue with the battery life. In most cases the 80% charged battery wold last at least 4-6 hours when watching videos or browsing web on the lowest brightness. Occasionally however it would drop to 2 hours or less (the back of the laptop would also become noticeably warm). I turned on battery saver, made sure to disable any programs and services, except the video player or the browser tab I was using, and the CPU utilization was around 1%. Yet the battery life was unusually short and I could find any reason for that. A reboot (sometimes more than once) would help in most cases but this did not seem right. After some research I found that Windows Fast Startup, enabled by default, may be causing this (no hard evidence though). Anyway, after disabling Fast Startup my battery life on the lowest settings improved to consistent 7-8 hours (again with the initial charge of 80%). If you are unhappy with your battery life search for How to Turn On or Off Fast Startup in the Control Panel. It is simple and I did not notice any adverse effects.

It's a laptop charger. It charges laptops.

Charges my two different battery size LG Gram. For LG Gram 17, it works fine (older model with 65W battery). For newer LG Gram, my laptop says charging in slow state since my laptop has 95W charge capacity - but it powers my new Gram fine without any stop due to battery being charged slower. It fits in my pocket (compared LG laptop chargers - a brick). Also has extra USB C port for my phone.

Successfully recognized in Dell Precision laptop (2 lanes)
