I used this cable to clone the hard drive on my Acer netbook to a solid state replacement. Cable worked great. It is not something I will use very often, in truth it will probably sit in my cable drawer forever. That said, it was a reasonable price to pay. Our Dell Latitude 15 5000 had the standard hard drive that came in it and it was extremely slow. We installed this drive and it immediately made the laptop fast and usable. Chatted with Sandisk Support about the software needed to clone the old drive. It worked great and booted up the first time faster than it ever has. iTunes now opens in a couple of seconds where it had been taking more than 30 seconds and would sometimes fail. 5 |

Bought this as an upgrade to another portable hard drive I have for when I'm shooting on the road. It's super fast and I don't have to worry about a spinning disk since it's solid state. Also, being solid state it seems to draw less power from my laptop. The biggest plus is the extra speed though. Great little hard drive 5 |

The solid state hard drive fit in it perfect. I did have to alter the mounting pin areas in the sides though, so the unit would fit in the case. I used a Dremel tool to grind out the four areas, where the pins engage, so the whole unit could slide into the case. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just used this to replace an old hard drive on my old laptop and because it's solid state I was able to breathe new life into a ten year old piece of hardware! Definitely get one if you don't want to upgrade to a new model of laptop just yet! Obviously it's a little small if you wanna use it on a desktop, but it's fine on a laptop 5 |

Compared to old Hard drive which was not solid state, the new drive respond time is noticeable. Did not want to change drives because thought I was wasting money $243. but after changing drives glad I did. Ron I 5 |
