Dell Monitor Usb Ports Not Working

I am loving my Dell UltraSharp 31.5 4K HDR Monitor. I calibrated the monitor just before working on images for a competition. Love the colors and the clarity. 5 |

I bought it as a second monitor to my Dell P2419HC (USB-C hub monitor). This monitor works great and has a little bit more up/down stand adjustment than my older monitor. This monitor would pair with the newer P2422HE usb-c hub monitor for seamless connection without a external hub/doc. This monitor doesn't have a hub or usb-c. 5 |

I use a number of external drives, so I needed more than the 4 USB 3.0 ports on my Dell Precision workstation. This card arrived quickly, installed easily and I'm very happy with the speed. 5 |

This is my first review I have ever written (buying computers sine the 1970's), and only because this CalDigit Element is so good I was compelled to write. I have a new Dell XPS 15 inch 9530. I had options of purchasing the Dell WD22TB4 hub (made for this laptop) or getting the CalDigit. After doing a lot of research I choose the CalDigit because of the vast amount of thunderbolt ports. My Dell laptop had some issues like 4 motherboard replacements, 3 speaker replacements, one screen replacement and one keyboard (ALL IN THE FIRST YEAR). I was hesitant to buy another Dell product. I have my OEM Dell power adapter plugged into the USB-C (right side) to power the laptop because the CalDigit only delivers 60 watts which is no problem. The laptop understands which power to use. What do I gain from this decision. I have 3 empty Thunderbolt 4 ports on the CalDigit and one Thunderbolt 4 port on the laptop free (the other TB4 is used to connect the CalDigit). So I end up with: 4 Thunderbolt 4 ports free 4 USB - A (10 gb) available I have the best of both types of ports. I rather make my own decision as to what the port does instead of a hub having only a set determined specific device ports. This unit out performs any hub I have ever had. In fact the CalDigit's construction is amazingly well built and looks good. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new Dell XPS 13 Plus has only two ports, so I bought two Belkin products to expand options: a USB-C 4-Port Mini-Hub and a USB-C to Ethernet + Charge Adapter. With both connected to the laptop, there are now six ports available for three types of connectors. They are small, high quality products that take up little desk space, and they travel well. 5 |

With the newer Dell XPS laptops largely abandoning USB-A ports, wired Ethernet ports, and HDMI/DisplayPort ports, having a dock is pretty much necessary for expansion as many current peripherals are still USB-A. I have an earlier Thunderbolt 3 dock on my work-proved Dell Precision, and it requires 2 cords to the laptop, where this Thunderbolt 4 only requires 1 - and has 130W charging pass-through (from the 180W power brick) so it can keep up even when pushing the machine hard. And I'll be able to hook it up to my wired network for throughput greater than what I can manage with WiFi. 5 |

I bought this for my new Dell XPS 8700. I worked immediately, and I did not have to install software. When I first plugged items into the ports, there was some lack of connection, but all is well now (must have had some dust in there).NOTE: I tried a different 3.0 card on my older Dell XPS 8000 (which did not have 3.0 USB ports), and it did not work. I assume your computer must be able to handle USB 3.0 for these cards to work. 5 |

This allowed my new Mac to connect to an old Dell monitor. Not ideal set up, but working perfectly until a new monitor comes my way. 5 |

I hated to pay this much for a monitor to replace my old Dell 27. And then I plugged it in and started working. It's been two weeks and I'm still stunned at how good everything on this monitor looks. It's expensive and worth it. 5 |

Very pleased with this monitor. The screen quality is even better than the more expensive Dell P2217H, although without a USB hub. Only caveat is the stand is not very tall, but it supports a VESA mount, so keep that in mind. 5 |
