Dell Screen With Camera

I *thought* this was an HDR monitor because the Dell website listed it as Ultra High Definition in the list of monitors when I filtered for that feature...however it is not. Initially I was really upset and felt that I wasted my money. B&H really tried hard to help any way they could, but their site clearly says that it's not an HDR monitor in the detail specs tab, but I didn't look there because Dell already said it was. BUT, after using the monitor for a few weeks now, I really, REALLY love this monitor! It's soooooo big, and beautiful with awesome color depth. If you download the Dell monitor software, you can even schedule the brightness and contrast to change according to the time of day (looks like there is 2 settings: day and night...but you might be able to do more detailed scheduling). It even allows for transitions between the two settings so they gradually take effect over, say, an hour (or whatever you want.) I'm usually working with lower ambient lighting in the evening hours, so this is a fun feature to play with. I do wish it had an ambient light sensor to change the brightness automatically, but that's okay. You can even have it automatically dim the screen when your screensaver is going, to save on energy. There's also some great screen sectioning capabilities to split your screen up into multiple zones that you can dock your windows into. Since the monitor is so big, I find it rare for me to ever want to have a window full screen, so this is a great feature as well. Overall, I'm super happy with the quality of this monitor!!! Yes, I'm disappointed that I still cannot edit my photos in HDR, but I don't regret this purchase because it's definitely better than what I had before! 5 |

Very pleased with this monitor. The screen quality is even better than the more expensive Dell P2217H, although without a USB hub. Only caveat is the stand is not very tall, but it supports a VESA mount, so keep that in mind. 5 |

This 2nd screen works great with my Dell laptop. The quality is better than my laptop screen. The Asus monitor is bright and easy to read. 5 |

Upgraded from a 1440p Dell Viewsonic to this. Colors are punchy yet balanced. Screen looks great and I like the matte finish. It's a 27", so even if you're a bit closer to it, the pixel density is sharp versus something bigger like a 32". I don't regret spending the extra money for this unit. For those that want to sit a ways away I might recommend a bigger size but there is not an equivalent out yet in a bigger size (only the prior generation). 5 |

I was blown away by detail of what I saw on the screen! How else can you say sharp! But it was way too bright and I had to download Dell's app to control brightness ETC. 5 |

Just a converter from usb-c / hdmi. Works fine with my Dell screen. Zero issues up till now. Great product. 5 |

I realized that trying on a 15 laptop screen to view and do post-production of my photos wasn't working well, especially color callibration. I have a Dell laptop and the Dell monitor works perfectly with it. As advertised, the 27 monitor is super-sharp and the callibration is correct (even comes with a sheet showing the callibration test). Now my reprints are exactly what I see on the screen! 5 |

This little webcam is what I needed for my mac mini and Dell monitor. It fits snugly on the screen and has great voice and video quality. Plus it folds and resembles a small mouse, with the lens protected of course. Recommended. 5 |

I purchased this wide screen after my other monitor gave out. It has great dimensions, clarity and extremely easy to setup. I currently have a Dell 24" wide screen next to it and this one brighter and crisper than the Dell. I use this monitor for business, technical coding (software) and stock trading. I am currently ordering two more of these monitors to finish up on my 4-screen display which the top two new ViewSonic's will be hooked up to my surface pro. PS: Don't expect much for any setup instructions in the box but it is very intuitive to attach the base to the monitor, it was just strange that there was very little info in the box concerning how to do it and/or information about all the input cables that come with it. 5 |

I had little expectation that my two VERY different screens -an old DEll sRGB PC screen and a newer ACER 100 percent RGB- could be callibrated to be anywhere close to one another, but ultimately I knew that I needed good screen calibration for output accuracy anyway, even if it was still only the Acer that I relied on. I use the Dell for edits and the Acer for reference. The Dell has a heavy red caste to it, and multiple attempts at manually calibrating it never looked right. To my amazement, the Datacolor Spyder X corrected both screens to the point where edits on the Dell look impressively close to reference on the Acer, and output to print is now closer to what I see on the screen in proof. It saves a hecka-lot of tweaking time and wasted paper and ink. The spyder X did this quickly and easily. I had wanted one for some time, but the price held me off. I jumped when B&H put it on sale, and I am so glad I did! I'm also happy to have the shot color reference card and cube. This kit is genuenly a game-changer. 5 |
