I bought this for my old Dell Latitude E6400 laptop to transfer a lot of files to a portable drive, and it preformed awesome just as Startech said it would. I was very impressed with the USB 3.0 speed. It was very easy to install, and it even came with a CD that had the needed drivers, so it only took a few minutes until I was transferring all those files at lightning speed. Delivery was fast. Smooth transfer of my information from a Time Machine backup with MacBook Air M1 data through USB connection to the new Mac mini. The Mac mini prompted for update to macOS 13.4.1 so the transfer could happen. Using HDMI to DVI-D cable for first display (Dell 1920x1200) connected directly to HDMI connection on the Mac mini and then added display port to USB-C cable for second display Dell 1920x1200) through an OWC Thunderbolt Hub connection through Thunderbolt connection on the Mac mini. More ports would be nice, but my old Apple keyboard and mouse using Bluetooth connections helps on that front. I'm liking the mini so far. Uses will be mainly web browsing, word processing, light spreadsheet usage, photos management, etc. 5 |
