Desert Sky Middle School Supply List

I use it in a middle school. Works great. Durable.

I was in the middle of the desert working on a television show. I only had a 18-135mm on me. I did not think I was going to have much time to take photos but when I saw the stars out there I new I needed something wide. I ordered from B&H and over night shipped the 14mm. All I can say is WOW! This lens is great! I wish it was faster than a 2.8 but I created some great time lapse footage and took some great pictures. I am going to take this 14mm with me from now on. Only con is the ring with the lens numbering is made of plastic. It was scratched within the second day.

Heading to a night photography workshop and wanted a backup tripod as I would be in the middle of the desert. I opted for this to replace my current Vanguard tripod. I was not disappointed. The features are great and of quality. The compactness for travel is great. It's definitely lightweight compared to my other tripod and equally stable. I definitely am pleased with my purchase.

Used this lens with an X-T2 for some night sky shots of our Airstream in the Utah Desert. The sample photo was taken after midnight in full moon. The lens was able to take it so much light that I had to shoot at 2.8 to 3.5 on a bulb setting, as full open 1.4 made it look like broad daylight! Excellent glass for those looking for the landscape vistas or night skies!

Was doing some Mountain phots in the desert. The UV removed all the haze from the sky. Very cool.

Best solution for indoor power supply but could have put the transformer at the end not in the middle.

All studio cameras should have a power supply like this. No more changing the batteries in the middle of the shoot.

This thing is awesome! Does everything I need it to do. One thing to be aware of - it DOES come with a power supply, even though it's not listed in the What's In The Box list.

I didn't know what these were for when I bought it, I just bought what was on my class supply list. I think it was a little pricy, but it works great and I do like having different colored sides.

I had one tiny spot in the middle of my sensor.  You couldnt see it unless it was in the sky but it was enough that it threw my exposure off a half a stop and my photos tended to be slightly over exposed.  I tried blowing it out with a can of compressed gas but that didnt work.  I wiped it once with this and that moved the spot to the corner.  I wiped it one more time and that took care of it.  That corrected my exposure issue also.
