Designer Bluetooth Desktop Keyboard Driver

My main desktop machine is old enough not to have had bluetooth available. This device allows me to use my Logitech keyboard and trackball, and stream music all at the same time.

I wanted a Bluetooth adapter to allow the connection of a keyboard and mouse to my desktop. Works great with Windows 7.

I'm a graphic designer with decades of drawing tablet experience. The best tablets have been Wacom for build quality, feel, and driver reliability. This tablet replaces my Wacom Intuos Pro Touch tablet. The build quality of the Xencelabs tablet is on par with the Wacom. The bundled stylii and controller provide excellent versatility and much more performance value than Wacom. The Xencelabs driver adds a feature I've asked of Wacom for many years - you can save custom settings and even share them. There's no way to do that via the Wacom driver. I do think there's some room for improvement on the Xencelabs driver. I'd like better click and double-click sensitivity and better mouse mode handling of a dual screen desktop where one screen is landscape and the other is portrait. I haven't had time yet to delve into customizing the Quick Keys.

I am a graphic designer and illustrator. I often use adobe photoshop, illustrator and indesign. The driver is easy to set up for wireless or to use via cable. Highly recommend the Intros Pro to anyone who needs more control than a mouse can provide. I've been using Wacom products for years and I remember there WAS a learning curve to figure out movement and translate what you are wanting to the computer. But now it feels as natural as writing with a pen and paper.

Installed in a Windows 10 Desktop, installed the driver from the CD, and it works perfectly so far.

This works well with my desktop that didn't have any internal pci ports and I wanted to give my desktop a gigabit connection. Just remember to update to most current driver from the there website. Windows will use it's own driver but I found out the Microsoft driver is buggy and will drop the network connection very often. Once I updated to the most current manufacture driver my problems went away.

Perhaps shameful, but I don't use these to monitor. I just wanted something for a second (desktop) system that would be good enough for me to give up head phones for general listening, and keep me from a frustrating return. I considered these for several months before making the deal at B&H. Maybe overkill, but I'm a former musician, and I know correct timbre, distortion effects, etc., and that's what I expect from playback. I've had these for six months. I run them with the desktop bass roll-off, and I have no complaints; only praise. The detail, accuracy and lack of fatigue means they get a lot of use. I just upgraded my DAC, and I can say that these monitors, like any real transducer, are very responsive to better source electronics. The driver grilles are a necessity, IMO, and contributed to my decision to go with Genelec over Focal, or the Gene 040's, as did the auto-off feature. This is just a great product, and, like most great products, comes at a commensorate price. Still considering a sub option, as a sub always enlarges the apparent sound field of a near field, or any smaller-driver speaker system, in a (usually) spectacular fashion. I can't imagine anyone not being satisfied with the designed capabilities of this monitor.

Read the fine print. This uses Bluetooth LE, and that requires an iPad3 or better. After wondering why it didn't work with either iPad2 here, I found that tidbit (which I had missed) in the fine print, hemmed, hawed, and opted to upgrade the iPad side of the system. It is a quality product, which on the one hand seems quite pricey for what is effectively a 2 button bluetooth keyboard, but on the other hand is much better made than whatever I might kludge up from a cheaper bluetooth keyboard with many more keys. The keys are lit, soft, and silent, and the device is considerably more affordable than some others in its niche - and with the keys on top, not over the edge, it works fine on carpets (some reviews indicate that is a weakness of some competing devices.) For hands-free page turning it really is ideal. Intended for foot operation, it is a bit larger than you'd expect from the pictures.

Keyboard, mouse works great with HP desktop. Good feel to the keyboard - easy to know where my fingers are - unlike the keyboard that came with the desktop. Good value.

Had constant issues with my Windows PC trying to do MIDI over Bluetooth with a new synth I had. Driver problems, Bluetooth problems, configuration settings, etc, Literally spent hours multiple times trying to get things to work at all. This WIDI Bud Pro dongle solved them within minutes of plugging it in! It handles both the USB MIDI & the Bluetooth LE duties on it's own, and connected to my synth over Bluetooth within seconds and finally let me get back making music. NO more Windows screwing around trying to figure out what is going on. I'd previously purchased another CME MIDI product and was very happy with that, they seem to have MIDI & Bluetooth figured out! Now no cables or PC nightmare at all to use my new Bluetooth-capable synth. If you are a Windows user, save yourself a HUGE headache and get one of these, I don't regret it at all.
