Desk Reviewer Adjuster Position
DKizzy | 2024-04-29 07:43:11 |
Like a previous reviewer I was confused about the lens shooting position message. I was coming from a Sony A6000 where the stock lens would just boot up and be ready to shoot. On this lens, you have to turn the lens until it reaches the 18mm position and then it's ready to shoot. Took me one google search to figure it out, so I have no clue why he complained about trying to figure it out for two hours. Anyway, I hope this helps out some other beginners! 5 |

To get great polar alignment you must have an azimuth adjuster, this works great 5 |

There is nothing not to love about this monitor arm. It's rock solid and at the same time easily adjustable. The monitor stays exactly where you position it even when raising the desk from sitting to standing position. Heavy duty enough to hold bigger ultra wides. Plus I think it just looks really on my desk and helps free up the clutter. Highly recommended. 5 |

I needed something to attach lights to my desk for macro work and video recording: I wanted something with a minimal footprint so I wasn't tripping over stands walking around my desk... and which move up and down with my standing desk. I bought two of these which work perfectly and are remarkably solid for as minimal as they are. I leave the main post locked to the position I need the lights in recording video, and use the side holding arm to move around lights for photography. My only complaint is that the mounts on the arms are fixed to the ends of the arms so I when I need to position things along the arm I need to use a separate clamp (which I conveniently already have). 5 |

Mission accomplished! These stands have enabled me to position my desk closer to the wall to maximize my space. A couple of previous stands were also solid but had larger footprints with their centered columns. These off-set columns have gifted a couple of extra inches. They are exactly as described and set-up was done by myself with minor effort. Vertical set-up simple and seamless. Llooking forward to the arrival of the horizontal plates (on order). Well pleased with these and have no complaints. Future engineering brainstorming could take these further with an internal tube for easy toe-in positioning. The single column design involves moving the entire stand which can be cumbersome to workaround table base legs. Adjustments would also be further tweaked by the addition of a 2-piece slider plate system or bracket attachment at the monitor. 5 |

This arm is great - perfect position on my desk, and helps make my mic extremely easy to access and extremely easy to store. 5 |

This arm has a long reach, which I needed for a sit/stand desk with dual monitors. It is super-strong, built like a tank, and seems like it will last for years. I wall-mounted it with the OC White wall mount (MFR #11426-B) about 12 to the right of the right-hand monitor, 12 above the desk in the standing position, and about 8 behind the monitors. From this location, I can position the mic anywhere I want, whether I'm sitting or standing on the left or right side of the desk, and it STAYS EXACTLY WHERE I PUT IT (except that I can pan it very smoothly left-right with a light touch, since it pivots easily on the heavy duty base). I was initially concerned that it wouldn't work with lightweight mics, because some other heavy-duty arms require a heavy microphone to counterbalance the spring tension, but I'm using this arm with a lightweight Sennheiser e835 (approx 12 oz) and it works just fine. In fact, it stays in position without any microphone at all, yet it feels like it could also hold a very heavy mic with no problems. If there are any cons, it would be that the springs are almost too stiff, and I sometimes need two hands to position the microphone because there are two joints (it doesn't always bend at the desired joint if you try to move it with only one hand). But the pros definitely outweigh cons. This mic arm is in a different league from the less expensive arms (although they look similar in pictures, but trust me, they are very different). 5 |

Worked out great to position my LED for video conferencing at my desk. Attached a ballhead to the the optional camera platform for greater flexibility and to easily swap in a camera as and when I want it. I can trust it to hold my four-thirds camera with a lens. 5 |

This is a great boom arm. I need a long arm for my large desk so the original PSA is too short which is why I got the Samson 48 arm initially (also very good but not as luxe). You can immediately feel how nicely this arm responds as you position it. It just reaches where I need it to. I'm not crazy about the fabric sleeves over the bars because they may catch fingerprints and dust over time. I'd like them to be removable; if I have this a long time, I might end up cutting them off. Not crazy about blasting branding either. The cord holders are ideal. I can position this to the side of my large monitor so it's out of frame when recording and still close enough to be heard. 5 |
