Up front, I've only been using this a few weeks. I cannot speak to longevity - and by the time I could, something new would be out. Storing TB's of photos, I've used several different drives. The Oyden is by far the fastest at transfer I've used. It's also exceptionally quite. It does get a bit warm, but nothing near hot. Again, much cooler than any past drive. I use it on-desk and don't carry it around, and backup by doing a full file-copy. (I want better access and portability than a true backup will give me.) The rubber frame around the drive will handle any minor vibration I have, as well as moving it from desk to storage. Overall, a really nice unit. 5 |

This is amazing - expands your storage and speed. Make sure you buy the Extreme PRO. We have the regular, the extreme, and now use the Extreme pro - We use them on set to immediately backup RED SSD's and we also use them to ship all the files to our customers, in addition to providing them a copy on the cloud. We were Lacie customers, but had three fail, so far so good with Scandisk 5 |
