Desktop Microphone Stand Sm7B

All I can say is Wow. You'll have to hear it to believe it. I tried it with a Shure SM7B microphone.

This desktop mic stand is well built. I can tell that it will last for a lifetime. It's heavy and that's a good thing because it means that for just about any microphone setup, this stand will hold it in place. On top of it being a mic stand I've also found great use of it (with an adaptor) as a light stand for hard to reach places. I think that this device is a no brainer given its excellent build and low price point. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

Thank you Auray for offering an affordable and versatile desktop microphone stand. The TT-6220 is perfect for either siting OR standing as the telescoping feature easily adjusts to the appropriate height. Best $14(with that pesky NYC sales tax) I've spent in years! Now if I could just book some V.O. Gigs...

This microphone sounds better than the sm7b in my opinion. It is more of a natural sound compared to the sm7b. I highly recommend it!

The Shure SM7B sounds incredible... when appropriately used. The first important thing to note is that this microphone is very quiet, so it needs about 50-60db of gain to get its signal up to usable volumes. Not all audio interfaces are created equal in this regard, so make sure yours has enough juice to power it. I needed to max out a Focusrite 18i8 (2nd gen)'s gain to get audible sound from it. Cranking your preamp's gain up so high may come with a price, and that's a low humming sound. It is possible to remedy this by providing the needed gain digitally or by adding a gate to the signal that targets and removes the hum, which is how I first heard the true potential of this microphone and became enamored by it. However, I ultimately opted to get a Cloudlifter CL-1 to do away with said hum and get a clean signal from the get-go. It works perfectly now. I can't recommend it enough.

I had been using an SM57 microphone for voice until I could save my lunch money to get the SM7B/Cloudlifter kit. Once it arrived, I immediately installed it and noticed an improved difference in the way my voice sounds. I am definitely glad that I have this kit.

I have a RODE NT-1 Condenser microphone, which is a very good microphone, with a very nice sound for human voices. However, I was having to use the NT-1 in a room that is not sound proof and the NT-1 is VERY sensitive to background noises. After much research I decided to order the Shure SM7B and I am very pleased. I combined the SM7B with a FetHead inline preamp feeding into my RODECaster Pro. The signal is very clean, dramatic drop in background noise pickup, and the SM7B has a superb sound for voices. Add in the form factor on a boom arm is much less intrusive in front of the face than the NT-1 with the pop filter in place is and it makes using the SM7B much nicer when the camera is turned on. All in all a very positive purchase, would not hesitate getting a second (or third) SM7B if I needed to do a multi person web cast, or recording.

Worth the purchase. Period. There is nothing different in the performance of this microphone as compared to the regular version. The matte red coloring is for B&H's 50th anniversary. I bought it because I wanted one in red and this showed up on my radar. I'm not going to get into the technical aspects of this microphone because there are MANY out there that cover it. And unless you get the db version of the SM7B, I would get an inline preamp and make life easier for you when you using it. Again, YouTube and the internet are your friends in regards to all things SM7B. Happy 50th Anniversary to B&H! Y'all are awesome!

Using this with a Shure SM7B Vocal Microphone and K&M PopKiller. I did have to use bungee cords in order to help support the weight on the Rode PSA1 Studio Boom Arm for Broadcast Microphones.

This microphone is expensive but it sounds SO GOOD. It's like an RE20 and SM7B merged together with the sweetness of the RE20 but low end of the 7B in a perfect balance. It makes my voice sound great and does me a lot of favors. The build quality is outstanding and it feels super robust. The only minor complaint I have is that the pop filter/foam can fall off kind of easily so if you use this as a guest mic they may tug on it the wrong way and pull it off by accident if it's on a boom arm. If you're looking for a super clean, unique sound this is the Mic for you. It's also very easy to drive with about 25db of gain needed for a healthy signal.
