Difference Between 35Mm And 50Mm Film Camera

I have the 50mm f/1.8g and it by far is such a great lens. But I got to thinking if there would be any difference using a 35mm f/1.8g, the answer is Yes there is a big difference. Focal distance to your subject, great bokeh on both lens, but I think I like the 35mm more than I like the 50mm. I will use both, but I think I favor the 35mm. I'm really enjoying the performance of the 35mm.

I use this as a normal lens, I never used a 50mm when I shot film, I used a 35mm and this one is really perfect for me. The lens is small and light, I wish there were Aperture settings on the lens and that I would not have to do this in camera.

I tried this film, for the first time, by running it through my Leica, using both a 50MM F2 Summicron and a 35MM F2 Summicron, utilising a Leitz 39MM deep red filter. I determined the exposure compensation by holding the filter in front of the meter, taking a reading, and then another reading without the filter and arrived at 3&1/2 stops which equates to a filter factor of 8-10, or so. In any event, the images were spectacular! The sky is rendered almost black and clouds were a brilliant white, with detail (think Zone 2-3) in them. Without a filter, SPX performs closely to a regular B&W film in its rendition. I had a lot of fun using this film, not being sure of the outcome but I was quite pleased with the results and I will not hesitate to use it again. Hope this was useful for you...

Great battery and I'am using it with an Arriflex 35BL2 35mm film camera.

I use this with my mirrorless camera and the Essential Film Holder. I scan tons of 35mm film and this light works perfectly.

I use this with a Sony camera to scan 35mm film. It's flawless. I combine with the Essential Film Holder and it works very well.

I'm using this to adapt a 50mm Summilux and 35mm Summicron to a Sony a7ii. The adapter is well made and provides a very secure and light-tight connection between the camera and lens. While it doesn't provide the extra close focus ability of other adapters, I prefer this model because of its quality construction and inconspicuous look. Its a flat black color that blends in with the camera (and modern black anodized Leica lenses). As for picture quality, you'll never get perfect results with an adapted lens, but it's pretty good and very usable.

I bought the 35mm,50mm and 85mm lens from the Meike Full Frame Line and I have to say I am very impressed. The body has a good build quality, and the image has what I I feel is an appropriate amount sharpness and contrast. I used these lenses on a feature film in September, and the lenses did everything I needed them too. I frequently use these lenses on a Red Komodo and a Black Magic Pocket 4k, and occasionally on other camera systems and I have been happy with the image they produce on every camera sensor I have put them on.

I use this lens for portraits on my crop sensor D5000 body. I loved the look of a 50mm portrait on a full frame camera, so in order to get a similar focal distance on a crop sensor camera- the 35mm was the way to go and I'm so happy I decided to trade in my 50mm for this 35mm! The 35mm gives a little extra room then the 50mm does on a crop sensor. The bokeh is terrific, and the lens is sharp and fast!!!! The auto focus is definitely worth the extra money, I always use it, and you can still fine tune the focusing. the lens is terrific for children, I photograph a lot of them! I have been happy with this lenses performance both indoors and outdoors, I recently shot a birthday party/cake smash which was indoors, near evening so very little natural light and just the glow of the candles and the photos still came out great... all in all, I would absolutely reccomend this lens!

The 50mm 1.8 is amazing however it’s too zoomed in using a cropped sensor camera. This 35mm yongnuo works amazing, no complaints, aside from the usual autofocus.
