Difference Between Gb And Tb

Upgraded from 450 gb to 2 TB. Plug and play , basically. I'm not an iT person... Lol Running great

I use it for a 1 gb 2.5 ssd data disk and a 3 tb 3.5 back up drive. Works great, much faster than the usb 3 set up I previously had with my MacPro. It stays connected and and senses when the computer powers up then to powers both the drives. It automatically powers down when you turn off the computer. A Very good purchase.

Retired 2015 iMac (32 GB RAM, 1 TB fusion drive) and replaced it with 16 GB/512 GB M2 Pro for photo editing w/LrC. Paired it w/2T external SSD. The combination is amazingly fast! Can’t imagine a better choice.

Purchased this workstation on sale. Great bargain. Blazing fast! Incredible graphics card! Easily expandible! What more could you want. Came with 32 GB of memory, I expanded it to 128 GB. I have added two 8 TB M.2 SSD hard drives and one 2.5" 16 TB SSD to create a monster. Using mainly for video work. (Magix Vegas) Couldn't be happier with this machine! What can you say about a free 128 gb drive? It came with my purchase of a 4 tb drive, and it is just right for small transfers. Thanks!

I bought the eight core cpu, 32 GB Ram, 2 TB SSD, 8 MB Radeon Pro Vega 56 graphics card. I don't do much video editing but I do a lot of multiple applications and virtual machines running all the time. High Sierra macOS is great at distributing the load across all the CPUs. The 2 terabyte solid state drive makes everything load fast and write fast to disk. The space grey screen, keyboard, and trackpad are beautiful. I make full use of the 4 USB 3.0 AND 3.1 ports with two external 2 TB WD - a Time Machine drive, and another backup drive.

I have an Asus Laptop with Intel I7 processor and 16 GB of memory. I added a 500GB Samsung SDD as the main disk. And in the slot of the rewritable disc I put the HDD Barracuda 2 TB and it works incredible, fast, efficient and with great storage capacity, it is much faster than the original 1 TB disc that came from factory

12 cores, 16 threads..then add 1 TB M.2 SSD & 64 GB RAM..all in a package smaller than an old-school alarm clock. Open by loosening the four feet screws & very carefully open it up so as to not rip out the ribbon cable connecting the two halves. I wish they had models with at lease three network connectors so I can roll my own pfSense firewalls.

I use it mainly to carry my lossless music, few downloaded movies, some important files and software. This T9 SSD is pretty light-weight (only 4.3 oz) and slightly larger than a credit card. The SSD is made in Korea, and its data cables are made in China. Two cables are included: one is USB-C to USB-C and the other one is USB-A 3.0 to USB-C. Both cables are 0.5 meters long and sturdy. It comes pre-formatted with exFAT. Reportedly, this drive has 170 GB cache, which helps with extremely fast file transfer. Positives points: + T9 SSD has aluminum case, and covered with non-slip rugged rubber exterior, which is certified for 3 meters of drop protection + It has internal thermal (heat) protection, so it never gets hot + Complete silent operation + Durable, has 5 year warranty + Blazing fast file transfer. For small files, sometimes the transfer window does not even appear on screen Negative points: - No IP65/IP67 rating - Dust and lint magnet - The faster rate only works with certain connections and cables - Only 932 GB usable disk space out of 1 TB During my tests, I was getting around 790 mbps transfer rate which is quite fast enough. To transfer a 16.0 GB folder (see pictures), which contains some FLAC music and large size pictures, using a Thunderbolt 3 cable connection, it took about 20 seconds. Overall, I'm extremely happy with Samsung T9 SSD. It is my new go-to drive to carry large and important files. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Had a 2012 mac mini server w/16 GB RAM and 1+2 TB internal SSD. This is a nice step up in speed and 24 GB RAM, but only 1 TB super-fast storage (1 TB seems to have the faster dual-chip config inside, if you are following the recent reviews in Q1 2023). Same mini experience as ever: lots of power in a small package. A little short on USB ports, so the Dell monitor with USB 3 hub is handy way to get more ports without adding another blob on the desk.
