I had a 2014 iMac with an i5 that I enjoyed, the 2020 i7 8 core that I bought is a lot more machine and they are now being discounted. I don't need the latest tech but my new machine has 64 Gb of RAM and is much faster, I use it with Photoshop and for video editing. I had my last iMac for 7 years with not a single problem, a well made machine. I was an original apple developer in 1997 and I still favor Apple products. 5 |

Honestly, I haven't been able to tell the difference since switching from an i5 3570K without benchmarking it. With that said, seems like my pc is running cooler and a pump in fps for cyberpunk. 5 |

I got this MacBook as an upgrade to my MacBook Air with intel i5 and butterfly keyboard. It is a night and day difference. This fixes everything that was wrong with my old laptop and should last me another four years at least. 5 |

I upgraded from an Intel i7-4790k. I didn't think this processor would make much difference because I have a nice graphics card (gtx 2070), but in VR games like Rec Room and I've noticed a huge difference. In rec room I used to have glitches that I thought were just from the game, but with the new processor I've now realized it was from the CPU not running fast enough. I'm very happy with this processor. 5 |

I upgraded from an i7 7700 and the difference is very noticeable! I use this with a discrete GPU so that was my rationale for choosing this over the non-F SKU and I don't overclock, so didn't need a K SKU either. This is a perfect fit if you have a GPU already and don't overclock. 5 |

Switching from i7 macbook pro this one really made a huge difference in speed. With 32Gb RAM it is easy to edit 45mpix raw images in Adobe Lr, C1, PS, etc. No lag at all. Monitor can be perfectly calibrated (used x-rite). Battery life is also good and new keyboard and huge trackpad are a plus. Only drawback is that B&H does not offer the bundle with 100w power supply. 5 |
