Digital Antenna Ground Wire

Great antenna system with plenty of antenna wire. It also comes with the short 3 db gain antenna.

Fits perfectly and allows me to mount the antenna on the hood where I can get a little bit of ground plane.

Works great. Be sure to extend the wire antenna for weather & general reception. Love the volume up/down buttons. Even with soapy fingers just a push does what I (and Sandy) want. Nice (here in the woods) to keep track of weather. Also am VERY fond of it using two size D batteries which should last a lot longer than little AA batteries. When I purchased this I saw it had everything I needed. Then there was one glitch I never expected. There is a thin wire for the FM antenna. Not the same as years gone by when you were about to use a cable wire and hookup an antenna.

The original antenna casing began to tear and expose the antenna wire. I soldered this new one in place and have had zero issues.

There was a ground loop after I added the Parasound A21+ to my system. Using my Denon AVR 6500H as the preamp, there was a noisy signal traced to the ground midpoint on the DirecTV antenna cable at the home cable entrance. It is a difficult ground loop because the shield of the DirecTV coaxial cable carries the power for the roof antenna. It would not help to make a single star ground because there is always a length of powered shield between the home theater/stereo boxes and the outdoor grounded entrance (grounded there at the outside wall by electrical) code. Fortunately, the Iso-Max breaks the ground loop at the input the A21+, so other potential ground problems may be cleared as well. While I was very hesitant to add anything to the input analog signal path, this seems to be the best and most practical solution. So far, I do not hear any difference, no perceived distortion or loss of fidelity.

I bought this after the wire on my Rode VideoMic Pro got a short from a very small drop to the ground. The wire on the Rode is a fatal flaw of that mic. The MKE600 is just a little more money, and it is far superior and more versatile. The hotshoe camera mount (included) works great too, but get the rubber support if you want to use a boompole. The MKE600 is the best value for low budget film makers right now.

The Pyle preamp worked great. You need to ground the preamp and turntable to the amplifier to prevent a hum. This can be easily done by loosening a screw on the amplifier and attaching a wire to this screw. Then attach this wire along with the ground wire from the turntable to the Pyle preamp ground screw. Then tighten all ground wires to their components.

Installation of the Pyle Pro preamplifier was very easy to figure out- - plugs in, attach the ground wire, and ready to go.� Works nicely!

I purchased this to replace an analog IEM antenna combiner that I was using on a Digital IEM platform that was having issues with dropouts and interference. The original (high-end professional) product had been recommended by another supplier, and I was skeptical that it would make any difference to replace as it was amplifying and combining the same signal. This combiner (made specifically with tuning to support Digital IEM's) instantly fixed all of the issues I had been chasing for months. The IEM's are now solid from hundreds of yards away, and no dropouts. This thing has saved my productions.
