Digital Camera 10 Megapixel

Even tho I was a little disappointed I did pre-order the E-5. I was thinking Oly would come out with an 18-24 megapixel, 10 fps shutter speed camera. I realized I am using the 10mp E-3 and printing 17 by XXXX photographs that were superior to my friends higher mp better selling brand cameras. I received the E-5 in October 2010. Having used this for a little better than 3 months I have put it to the test, in as far as how I will be using the camera. I must admit, I would have liked 8/10 fps but 5 was good for me in the past so it'll have to do. One thing I haven't touched yet is the movie mode. I was going to put this down as a con (for me) but who knows, I might wake up tomorrow and try it and like it. What I look for in a camera is 1. RELIABILITY my Oly OM1, bought in Feb. 1973 after being discharged from military madness, 38 year old camera is in excellent working condition. I have not had a problem with any of my Olympus cameras. Unless you want to count the time my E-510 crashed to the concrete from 6 stories. I have had a couple Cannons and Nikons along the way which no longer work. 2 COLOR RESULTS which Oly's are true to life. I shoot 90% RAW, JPEG when the situation arises. I was very impressed with the JPEGS right from the camera. Oly's JPEG's were always the best - these really did impress me. 3. EASE of USE. Going from E-1, E-510, E-3 to E-5 it is part of me, or maybe I'm part of it. 4. CAMERA/LENS combination. In my view Olympus/Zuiko is tops. I seldom go over 800 iso so I'll leave this alone. I must admit I came close to falling for the megapixel myth. Olympus made changes where they would truly make a difference. One last thing. The mirrorless systems have caught my eye. I will be watching. As always, B&H your the best.

A little pricey, but I managed to photograph roughly 1300 pictures with my 10 megapixel camera. So I highly recommend these batteries.

I like the camera, large megapixel

I've had 10 different digital cameras. I've done professional video and stills throughout my working life. My G9II (and Gh6) is the best camera I've ever used. The AF on the G9II for BIF and sports is extremely good. The video is a professional grade documentary or B roll cinema camera. Pair it with Panasonic PL grade lenses and it becomes a tool with which you can do your best work. The handheld hires is amazing.

I bought this camera to make the leap from a digital point and shoot to a digital SLR. I last used an old film SLR 10 yrs ago, so it'll be nice to see what I remember and learn even more about photography. I'm very happy the camera accepts AA lithium batteries and there is a lengthy printed operating manual too. Additionally, there are more than enough manual settings for my needs. Lastly, the price is right and was lowest on B&H! I haven't found any cons yet.

Granted I had been using a 10 year old lens on my digital SLR camera so anything would be an improvement, but I love this lens! The image stabilization is great and the focus is fast and accurate. I also think that the range of focus is perfect for most who like the flexibility to take a wide landscape shoot then quickly zoom onto something interesting far away. My only concern for others is that the lens is heavy but that doesn't bother me.

I am a big fan of Thinktank photo cases, and the Digital Holster 10 works very well for me. I use it with my Sony RX 10 Mk4 with the lens shade reversed. The case/camera combination provides excellent protection for the camera and easy access for the photographer.

This is a must have. If you own Nikon 1 J5 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 10-30mm the automatic lens cover works the same way. No more fumbling around with the lens cap (Imagine yourself doing nighttime shoots).

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

I bought this Camera to replace a old 6.0 Megapixel 12x Optical zoom Sony... The SX20 is / is everything i was looking for! better zoom and all the extra fetures the camera does are amazing! the HD Video is Great too!- love the one touch button for recording vids. the super Macro is very nice too, see link for Super Macro Shot@
