I use a Phase One digital back, and it's only card type is Compact Flash. While I only shoot to the CF card when location shooting does not facilitate tethering to my laptop, I tend to load up 128gb cards to their maximum, so a fast rugged carder is necessary. The benefit of this reader is 3-fold: 1) fast 10Gb/s speed (relative however to cards, cable & laptop), 2) rugged build, and 3) the ability to use standalone or with the PRO-DOCK. Only request is that SanDisk makes an NVME direct enclosure in the same format to use as a back for cards, and pluggable into the PRO-DOCK. 5 |
