Digital Camera Articles

After reading numerous articles about digital shooters shooting film again I decided to shoot some film again. It is a very interesting experience. I think it is improving my skills. I concentrate on exposure and composition more because I cannot chimp. I go out with my NikonF100, shoot 2 rolls of UltraMax 400 Color Negative film, wait a week to see the pictures. And I am pleasantly surprised, occasionally disappointed, but learning more about photography.

We are a small research library that occasionally needs to scan our books and articles for our digital collections. The scanning software has some oddities (I had to fiddle with some of the settings to see my preview and change other settings to prevent it from overwriting previous scans), but it worked great after I figured it out. 600dbi archival TIFFs in seconds! I called Plusteck to help with the settings and they were fantastic! Answered on the first ring and they were very helpful. Very little, if any, post-processing required. Relative to the amount it would cost to get our books professionally scanned and edited, this scanner is a steal.

Having read many articles about this camera, I decided to bought it. I have been taking photos with mi 5ds from november and was very satisfied, but needed something lighter for dairy street photography. I am happier than a kid with a bag of candy!. What liked the most in this camera is the capacity of handheld shooting at nignt, and, the capacity of pushing shadows at lightroom to get an incredible DR. It is not a perfect camera, but there is nothing like it if you want the best resolution, low light performance and great DR in a size so small that nobody will notice you in the street. You have just one lens, but the ability to crop with great detail, is like having a zoom with you. Only regret the battery duration.

I love this camera it is the best of the best for a digital camera.
