Digital Camera Brands

I have been a photographer all my life and used many different brands and models of both film and digital cameras. In recent years, I developed a bad back and wanted a much lighter package than heavily DSLs to carry around. iPhones, though good, don’t always cut it. I used micro four-thirds for a while but even though were too heavy. After much trial and error, I decided on the Sony DSC-RX100VA. It is light weight (about 10 ounces), makes excellent photos (I always use RAW), has a very fast lens, a real viewfinder and a small flash. Battery life is not great, but there are always some tradeoffs with any camera. Always carry at least one extra battery. After much research, I think I have the best small camera made with an ideal feature set for me. The optional pistol grip is quite useful and recommended.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

Western Digital, about the only portable hdd brands I trust. So far, this lives up to that expectation.

I have been looking for a bench for my digital piano for while. Due to Covid-19, most of the benches from brands I know are all sold out on a lot of sites so I am surprised to find this bench that's not just cheaper but also deliver faster. It turns out to be an excellent choice! It's sturdy, stable and also comfortable. Highly recommended.

After trying several canvas brands, I've settled on the Hahnemuhle Daguerre canvas for printing my digital artwork directly onto canvas. This canvas holds up extremely well during stretching, I've yet to have it tear in my stretcher pliers like other brands have. My abstract colors are bright, and I've had many compliments on my canvas prints. I can't really think of any negatives - this is a very good giclee or digital print canvas.

I've had so many issues with Western Digital, G-Drive and other external drive brands. LaCie is currently the only brand I trust for my external drives. I will be trying others in the future but you can't go wrong with this one.

After going to digital in 2007, I had many different brands of CF and SD cards. I never had a Sandisk fail on me or have compatibility issues. It may not be the fastest card on the block, it is the most reliable.

I have used other brands of tape,but none can compare to the Sony Digital Master Mini. You can rest assured that no other tape will be placed in the caste compartment for fear of poor quality video. Harold
