I bought this gadget to use with a compact flash memory card in a camera that I am borrowing. I wanted my card reader to have slots for all other types of memory cards in case I buy my own digital camera with a different type of card. The price is right, and the card reader works just fine. It's super lightweight, which is just what I needed while traveling, and it's a very convenient shape, especially because its power cord is detachable. The only small iffy part is that the card reader does not offer much physical guidance for inserting a compact flash memory card. The pins for reading the card are set far enough back in the reader that you can't visually align them with your card -- and if you're not careful, it's easy to misalign the card with the little grooves on the sides of the slot meant to help you keep the card straight. But this is just a small problem that can be dealt with by being careful.

A very nice option if you have a camera that uses Compact Flash, but you want the convenience of an SD card, as most laptops have an SD card reader built in. The card is pretty thick, but still fits into the Compact Flash slot well enough, albeit a little bit snug.

A great camera, however, I wish the memory card could fit directly into a card reader port. Such as a compact flash.

Besides being as solid as a tank this thing is very nice. Holds all four of my compact flash cards without having to worry about water or misplacing the small soft sided case I used to use. The inside holds the cards really tight so I'm not worried about a card falling out while I'm trying to pull out a card. Did I mention that it is very strong?

With Compact Flash cards getting harder to find, and with SD cards now everywhere, this adapter allows you to insert an SD card into a CF size unit. This allows you to buy the widely available and less expensive SD cards.

More pockets then you can use, which is great. For the price, you can't go wrong with this backpack. I carried it around for 2 1/2 hours in a photography class, at the zoo, with several lens and other equipment and it felt great. I'm 5'1 female so for a big man, it would probably be to small. The only other thing I would change about this pack is the memory card holders. They are designed for small cards and won't fit a compact flash card. They could have had only two slots, one big enough for a compact flash and another for the smaller card. There are plenty of other places to put the cards, so not a big complaint. There is only one minor design flaw where the zipper could rub against the back of your camera, but it is easy fixed by placing a washcloth between the camera and zipper.

Daunted by the price of some of the fastest Compact Flash cards, I wanted to try this out. It was as simple as pushing the SD card into a card reader. With a Class 10 SD card, I have not noticed any lag when shooting on my Canon 7D. It can shoot multiple frames at full speed as fast as the CF card. With SD memory around half the price of CF or less, I'll not be buying another CF card.
