This is an awesome camera for video and vlogging! It shoots crispy footage and is very lightweight. Perfect for someone who wants to vlog but also has the specs to do well in most video situations.

Personally, the type of content you like to shoot is primarily product reviews along with shooting a vlog of my life raising two special needs boys. An impressive feature which I use for "selfies" is the vari-angle LCD screen. Upgrades from my current camera are the two features of Automatic Exposure and Auto Focus settings. The video stabilizer that is built in is perfect for shaky hands. The personalized settings are amazing too like auto- focusing on products was a breeze and it auto adjusted to my face right after! Still shots look like I had an entire studio set up with the auto exposure it was perfect every time. Recording action moments are easy to slow down too. Allowing me to see each moment play by play at my friend’s wedding during cake cutting. No one wants to miss the quick moment of smashing cake on one another. The versatility that the VZ-1 has is all you every expected plus. It makes the transition of being behind the lens capturing moments to vlogging an easy switch. If you vlog/record often the accessory kit is a must! Holding the tripod/wireless remote with the contoured design makes balancing the camera easy. Aside from being a camera, video camera, video blogging camera this Sony Vlog camera is a professionals tool for their ‘toolbox’ when creating content or applying for campaigns and jobs. Highly recommend!

Overall, I LOVE the Lumix S1. I use it mostly for it's 10bit 4k video ability. The 4k resolution and detail is spectacular. It's 10bit color in HLG and VLog is great and it's VLog dynamic range is THE most I have EVER seen in any camera before. It's 150Mbp/s 4k long GOP CODEC is surprisingly tough. It encodes VERY well down into the shadows and allows you to aggressively stretch colors upward without seeing the noise floor and compression artifacts that you certainly would expect. Auto focus is not on Sony's A+ level but it's not terrible either. I would rate it's AF a solid B grade performer. Now for the one bad part - In VLog, the S1 and S1H suffer a severe defect in terms of blue LED lights. Actually, they are completely intolerant to any kind of blue lights in dark scenes. In fact, they will go berserk and clip the blue very, VERY badly. The blue clipping will swallow areas all around any blue LED light, completely ruining your shot. However, this does NOT happen in HLG at all. HLG is perfectly fine in the exact same scenes. I believe this can be fixed in firmware but until then, when using VLog, be EXTREMELY careful with any blue light in your shot. (i.e stage lighting or wedding receptions, etc..) If you see blue, switch to HLG....don't risck it! With that problem aside,...this is a PHENOMENAL camera in sooooo many ways. I'm very much in love with it! (I left Sony for this camera because of it's 10bit video)

I received this digital monoculture sample for free. I was able to use it on several occasions. The pictures and video recording is incredibly good. The size fits perfectly in my palm and in my pocket. Recommend for bird watchers and for that quick zoom shot.

While I can't say anything about how these person for other users OR how they might perform tomorrow, so far, for me, they are working perfectly. I have a GH5s and have been recording using both HLG (72mbps HVEC) and VLog-L (150mbps mp4) with no problems. I also tested 400mbps VLog-L, but didn't find the benefit sufficient to justify the extra storage requirements. The cards are fast. Using my Rosewill USB 3.1 card reader, I'm getting a consistent 150 MB per second read speed (to 2 RAID 0 SSDs). And, as mentioned above, they appear to be V60 compatible as they are recording 400mbps without problem in testing. I have to admit that my usage is light (about 30 times a year), so things could change as the number if recordings increases (solid state media does wear over time with repeated write cycles). However, they are working fine for me now. Anyway, these cards are working well and I will update this review if anything changes
