I have used 4 X 5 cameras for years in landscape photography and use movements on them on almost ever shot. When I moved to digital (Nikon) there was a a lack of lenses with movements particularly the tilt function whis I use more than any other. The 24, 45, and 85 PC lenses solved this problem and with proper stitching techniques I can produce images that will enlarge much larger and still give me that control over the plane of focus.

Filters may one day be rendered obsolete for landscape photography as technology advances but (AFAIK) there is no true digital substitute yet for a polarizer, and even the clever digital processing mimicking long exposures on recent Sony mirrorless cameras cannot completely replicate the effect of a good optical ND filter. When out in the field, you don't want to be fiddling with adapters or trying to figure out how to shade a wide circular filter fitted via adapter to a smaller width lens. Hence, I try to take separate filters for each lens I carry into the field. Previously I used those folding cloth holders which open up into one long sheet with rows of (usually two) filters held flat in clear, soft plastic sleeves. I have found that these sleeves tend to accrete dirt in the field over time and that it is often difficult to extract and replace one filter from the sleeves, especially with gloved hands. The Mindshift Gear Nest Storage Case offer a better solution. The Case opens by zipper from the top and filters are held vertically in color-coded dividers, with room for at least eight, possibly two to four more depending on filter width. The dividers are a cushioned, light colored material which makes lens selection and extraction easier and offers better protection than the traditional cloth and plastic pouches. The Case will hold filters from 82mm on down (and maybe larger, although I have not tested that myself). In the field, with your pack on the ground, you can open up the Case and extract a filter more quickly and with less risk (that one has with unfolding the cloth pouches) of it getting into the mud or wet on the ground or of filters falling out. The only small negative is that the Case is a bit bulky; it could probably get by with thinner linings separating the filters and take up less room in the pack. However, overall, Mindshift has definitely improved on this mainstay product for landscape photography.
