Digital Camera Settings 101

This camera is an awesome camera for people looking for more out of a digital camera than just the regular point and shoot but do not want to spend the money or carry around the lenses of an SLR. The 20X optical zoom is FANTASTIC! The offerings of this camera are numerous. The manual settings are simple to use and the numerous other settings such as colour accent are very fun to use. I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking to get more into photography while keeping money in their pockets.

I purchased the Canon PowerShot SX200 IS digital camera as my purse camera -- one that I could carry with me everywhere so I won't miss a shot if I don't have my Canon Digital Rebel XTi with me. I wanted a point-and-shoot camera that would do almost everything that my DSLR would do, and the SX200 meets that need perfectly. I especially like the long zoom capability, manual settings option, and the convenience of a movie function, which by the way delivers sharp movies with great sound. The IS feature really helps, of course. I have played with all of the settings, and I have been able to achieve great results, but I usually stay with Manual because I want the same control that the XTi gives me. I love this camera and I recommend it highly.

I haven't used a camera like this since before everything went digital. I use to have an OM-1. This camera takes great pictures, I am still experimenting with all the settings. Now I just have to save up for a telephoto lens to use with it. Won't take my example pic (too big)

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

I use the MP-101 in Church service video taping. It helps steady, gives great movement and gives freedom when camera is mounted high. The speed slider control is handy, although the movement is still a little too quick (if you have any zoom on the camera, the slowest speed is still a little too fast). I also wish the remote did not have to be connected to use automatic mode.

I use the MP-101 with a sony HD handcam on my 8-12ft camera jib crane. I got the shots I needed without spending 1000's on a more expensive pan tilt head that I would only occassionally use.

I have 2 MP-101 Pan Heads that I use to video Church Services & Weddings. I use 3 cameras with a mixer & record to a DVD harddrive. One camera is hand operated & has a remote zoom on the handle. The to on the pan head also have remote zoom next to the pan head remote. I use the pan head cameras to set a scene then switch to them. One man can do it all. The hand op camera is my follow cam, so I don't have to worry about the seed of the pan not being slow enough. I would reccomend this unit. I am considering a 3rd one so I can have 4 camera's going at once.

I have an old Vintage 75-205 Miida Lens from a Minolta SRT-101 Camera. I was astonished at how well this adapter and lens worked on my Fuji XT-3. Now I can use a Lens that my father used. He would have had a nice surprise.

I travel a lot in search of trout in remote locations while videoing the fishing action as well as our destinations, which we later turn into DVDs, and was looking for a motorised pan head to give us another dimension to our videos. The MP-101 has certainly surpassed all our expectations - it is very smooth and whisper quiet. By setting the tripod, pan head & video camera next to a stream we are now able to select the desired pan angle, point the camera upstream and turn it on and let it do its thing. We then walk into the stream to start fishing while the camera silently pans down the stream to stop where we are fishing, capturing the action. Sure is great when we do not have an extra pair of hands to operate the camera. It also fits into a small LowePro shoulder bag to allow me to carry it all day without any problems. I would highly recommend the MP-101 to anyone looking for a pan & tild head, price is great too, as was the service we received from B&H.Regards,@

I read the Strobist's *Lighting 101*. I got pumped. This and a YN560-TX is the off camera light system I went with. It meets my needs. Controls are easy enough to use. The backlit display is readable in the dark. The only down side is that the built in diffuser and white card are a bit finicky to deploy. Otherwise it is well engineered. It's plenty of fun for the price.
