Digital Camera White Screen Problem

Before I used this product I used white paper as recommendedby Canon for my 30D. I put lines on the paper for focus andset white balance as custom. The paper was difficult to useand keep with me. Since buying the gray digital card, I havefound it to be more accurate than white paper and easier touse. The digital gray card produces perfect custom whitebalance and works every time. It has a focus spot to get thecorrect image for setting up in-camera custom white balance.One time I used both the gray card and the white card (onthe lanyard) and found the gray card produced the correctwhite balance over the white card. Now I never take a shotwithout setting the custom white balance to the gray card. Ido this in-camera so I don't have to make adjustments inpost processing. The gray card also gives the correct lightreflection for digital camera exposure. Most books say thegray card should reflect at 18%, but that is not correct fordigital. See article on the internet by Thom Hogan who says digital camera makers set exposure meters to near12% gray reflectance, 18% is based on printing standards.This gray card is closer to 12% and is very accurate.I like the lanyard. When I'm outdoors I keep it on my neckso I can periodically reset the custom white balance as Ishoot. Inside under lights, I use it one time and I'm setfor the shoot. A must have for manually setting white balance on a digital camera. For work with a light tent, there is no better way to ensure a perfect exposure every time.

I have used this digital target quite a few times now. I first use it to make sure my camera is accurately metering the lighting correctly (I check the histogram to see if I have 3 spikes showing.....dark, gray, and white). Then I take a shot to set up the correct white balance using the target and then I'm ready to go. It's very accurate and works great!!! It's handy to have along (folds up easily) and is useful as a white reflector on the back. I would recommend it highly!! It comes with a DVD that explains it's use very well.

I had all most 2 yrs. of schooling back in 1982. in black & white, now with this new digital camera is like starting all over, my last camera was an AE 1, with a winder, is very heavy, with this new one is like wow so very light, it is going to be great to carry around. I look forward to learning all over again.

For all of us who cannot spend the money on the Lecia, Pentax gives us a wonderful Monochrome digital camera. Based on the K3 chassis it is a Monochrome only Pentax K-3 Mark iii. It is an APS-C professional-level camera. With excellent ergonomics that Pentax is known for. Yes everyone is dashing off on mirrorless but the bright, eyeglass-friendly viewfinder is wonderful. With a nice catalog of lenses, this is a black-and-white camera that can be used in any situation. Finally black and white with excellent fine resolution, usable high ISO, and professional grade. The images have fine detail, highlights, and shadows. Easy-to-use menus and settings that address every situation you may encounter. For those who remember all those color filters for black and white are usable to manipulate the the images before tripping the shutter button. Two things to consider. LCD panel does not flip up or rotate. I use a Ref a right angle viewfinder by Pentax. It works well on all the 35mm Pentax cameras and some other brands. It rotates and has a 2x setting which is nice for macro. The other thing I have noticed is the very sensitive shutter button. It has a very sensitive and short motion to trip the shutter. I can highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants to do Monochrome. You will not be disappointed Monochrome is far from a niche place in photography. You see it in many venues. It is not limited now to the conversion of color digital or shooting film. We now have a well thought out Monochrome from Pentax at a more palatable price than Lecia.

I own a Pentax K10D and it is a great camera, but this little White K-x is fantastic!!!! Just attended Digital Days presented by Popular Photography and Sony. Did model shoot with 6 pro models and this camera did a superb job at open Ap and ISO of 800. Pictures are great!!!!! Easily kept up with my other workshop mates, Canons and Nikons! I am anxious to take it to Europe later this year.

I have used Hoya filterss for 40 years and had no problem buying them for my new digital camera.They are much better than cheaper filters that can cause distortion in your photographs. I have also purchased equipment from B&H since 1989 and never had a problem with any of my purchases.

I bought this set mostly for digital filmmaking. It handles up to 29lbs camera with no problem. A fully rigged RED ONE and 5D2 with cine rig have been tested out, it worked like a charm. Due to the non-spreader design, it would take a lot space when you need to reach a high angle, always sandbag it when you put it on a doorway dolly. I would say it's as good as advertised.

Very easy to apply on a Digital Camera LCD. I had no problem setting this up on my LCD. Follow the instructions and it's a piece of cake. Totally recommend this product for protecting your LCD.
