Digital Camera With Manual Dials

So far I really like this camera. 3 dials for manual mode and plenty of buttons to customize. Image quality is great and it feels great in my hand. Good beginner camera! Highly recommend! 5 |

I love my Kodak PIXPRO FZ55 Digital Camera (Blue)!!!! I give it a 5 star rating!!!!! I love the color of Blue!!!! I just have to learn how to use it. The only thing that I did not like was IT DID NOT HAVE AN OWNER'S MANUAL with it!!! Why do you not include a Owner's Manual????? How are you to learn about the camera & how to use it if there is no manual????? Otherwise I love it!!!! Include an owner's manual with each camera so customers can learn how to operate their new cameras!!!!! 5 |

I used this products with both line in and the interchangeable mic. I was happy and excited at the quality and ease of use. THe manual dials are a huge plus. I did have some problems with some SD cards. Just check before you buy one specifically for this device. It does comes with a 2GB one, which really ought to be enough for small projects. The case is cheep and arrived broken upon arrival. Emailed the company and they sent a new one no problem. 5 |

I'm a luddite and prefer dials over digital meters. This little guy (and I mean little) is very accurate and I use it for color film when I want to double check my sunny-16 metering. It has yet to disappoint. 5 |

I bought this camera to make the leap from a digital point and shoot to a digital SLR. I last used an old film SLR 10 yrs ago, so it'll be nice to see what I remember and learn even more about photography. I'm very happy the camera accepts AA lithium batteries and there is a lengthy printed operating manual too. Additionally, there are more than enough manual settings for my needs. Lastly, the price is right and was lowest on B&H! I haven't found any cons yet. 5 |

Great entry digital SLR camera with bright viewfinder and full manual control for students of photography. I added a Cannon 40mm 2.8 for point and shoot. But a beginner should add a 50mm prime lens IMO. Get the bulb cable for long exposures for maximum creativity. I have found manual focus useless compared to my film cameras, the autofocus just works. 5 |

I specifically wanted a digital camera with manual controls, like the one my dad had when I was growing up, and this camera exceeded my expectations. Having used it for a few weeks now, I can confidently say that I absolutely love it. 5 |

It's a manual focus lens, with a manual aperture ring that is controlled from the lens itself. It took a little getting used to... But I love it. For me, it's like using my old AE-1 but with the convenience of digital. For those who have never used a manual camera, this lens may not be for you. The fixed focal length and manual controls may be considered drawbacks for some people. I had found the transition from analog to digital to be difficult, and this lens helps me shoot the way I did when I was young and idealistic.... But I digress. This lens is known for its dreamy effect at wide apertures, and it delivers. But I was surprised at how sharp the images are when stopped down to f11 or f16! I did some test shots from my roof, and when reviewing the images on my computer I was able to see details from blocks away in sharp focus. The only thing I don't like about the lens is something I consider to be a design flaw. The markings on the aperture ring are covered up by the hot shoe on the camera, so that I have to turn it at an awkward angle to see which aperture I'm on. I've already gotten used to it, but it was annoying. Otherwise, I just adore this lens, and I'm currently using it more than any other. 5 |
