I use the camera to shoot my children's sports, parties, etc. and it is really incredible. We purchased it in time to take to Hawaii and I am glad we did because the images are so vivid it captures with such clarity, I am very impressed. The photo mode does such a great job I have started to use it for still photos as well because it is superior to my existing Canon. The dual mode capture is really useful and I love the 3 second capture because for kid's sports you never know when something will happen and when it does I have it. The camcorder works very well with my Mac, just plug it in and press a button and it's ready to upload....

I upgraded from a Digital Rebel XTi ,which i love. i take alot of pictures of my kids in sports so this camera will make itself useful when that time comes. it also on creative mode has live view which is really cool! i have to admit i have alot to learn about this camera but know i am going to use it to its fullest capacity!

This is my first digital SLR. I primarily use it for sports images and I am delighted with the results. The images are sharp and focused when using the auto focus setting. The camera settings are intuitive and therefore easy to use. I am very happy with this camera.

Extremely easy to learn how to use. Great buy for what you get. Auto is the easiest mode and photos look as any I have ever taken with a digital camera. Love the way you can see the image in very low light. 12X zoom the best I've had in a digital camera. Get a 8gig card and the picture are endless.... There price was the best around. Would definately purchase again.

The Canon PowerShot SD 780 IS has got to be the ultimate high quality really compact camera. The deciding factor for me buying this camera was size. You really can carry this camera 24/7 and get very good photographs anytime everytime. I take almost all photos in available light and the 800 and 1600 ISO indexes generate surprisingly good results. The image stabilization and excellent ergonomics result in sharp photos at hand held 1/8 second shutter speeds! I prefer using the camera in the semiautomatic P mode and take about 95% of my pics in this mode. The automatic mode seems to work ok, but I really haven't used this mode much. As for digital zoom, they should have never included it because the quality degradation makes it all but useless. Obviously, this is true with all digital zoom implementations because all you are doing is reducing the effective sensor size. There are tons of features including an optical viewfinder which is great for fast shots. I've tried most features and everything is generally easy to do, but you should read the manual two or three times if you want to do more than just point and shoot pictures. The only improvement I would like to see on this camera is a faster lens. A f/1.4 or f/2 lens would open up huge new photo possibilities. Some day someone will figure out how to do this and still keep the camera small. But for now, buy it; you won't be disappointed.

Mainly used for watching TV, movies, streaming services and sports. Only owned it a week so haven't tried all features. The app downloaded and connected to device easily. The sound quality is very high end. The night mode and speech mode technologies are fantastic. The price is high but appears to be worth it. If your budget allows I highly recommend

Excellent first DSLR. Burst mode shooting is great for catching kids/sports. High ISO great for low light conditions. Overall very pleased.

Sports photography with Canon 7D in full continuous mode: pictures look great without any dropped. I don't even need to edit them. Perfect card for this use for me. I am also looking forward to using it for video.
