My Remote Cord for D90 Digital Camera by Nikon allows me not to have to be so hands on. I just sit up on the tripod and click away. No more blurred pictures. I like the whole feel of it and ease to use. I haven't found anything I don't like about it. Just one more of those things made to make our lives a littler easier and I'm all for that!!

I had just taken a class on using a Digital Camera. Unfortunately I was not shown how essential a remote cord would help in taking good pictures. Now that I have one my picture taking is much easier and the pictures are much sharper.

I may not be the majority but having to have your camera hooked up to a USB cord to charge a battery does not work for me. I love this ...charge while you still use your camera.

Using this cord with the tether block is the best solution I’ve found for a solid usb connection to the camera while shooting tethered.

I purchased a new little Canon pocket camera. I didn't think I would need to order an additional USB cord that would fit. None that I had fit, so I had to order this. It works fine, but I wish it had been included with the purchase of the camera.

I bought this cable because the one our school's studio had had been worn down and didn't maintain a connection. I bought this knowing that I could use it for multiple camera's for tethering capabilities because of the open ended female port. The Nikon D800 is USB 3.0 compatible with this interface, as well as the Leaf Credo 40 backed medium format camera we also use in the studio. I also own a Nikon D7000 I have used to tether with the extension (mini-USB Pearstone extension cord, and the Male Type B USB extension cord for the Leaf Credo back), and it worked fine in Lightroom and in CaptureOne. I use my portable harddrive cord to connect the Pearstone 3.0 cord to the D800, and it works fine. Some things I think people underestimate about cables are their storage needs. They need to be wrapped up in a non destructive manner so the pins don't become dislodged from the connectors over time. I feel as though if I take care of this cord it will take care of me. I think it's a must for anyone planning to do tethering.

This is just a very preliminary review as I have only had the camera for a few days and have made only some test pictures to ensure it is operating properly which it is. So far – so good. Until now I have been using the EM5 Mark II with great results but there were two features on the Mark III that immediately caught my attention – a slightly higher resolution sensor and - the in camera battery charging. Although I’ve not yet had any issues with the Mark II’s smaller sensor I feel the larger sensor will be an advantage if making a very big print – especially if substantial cropping might be required. I edit using Photoshop CC and always shoot in the RAW + JEPG mode. But the feature I really like is the in camera battery charging. Not having to carry around the charger with that absurdly long power cord (There are some other options to this) is a pleasure. Just a short USB to USB micro charging cord will work - fine. But if you want to transfer your photos directly to a computer, you will probably want to use the included cable since not all third party cables while they will charge, may not support data transfer. Not an issue for me – I normally remove the card and download directly from it in my laptop or desktop. In summary, This is a purchase I’m very happy I made.

The shortest USB 3.n Micro B type (the new profile) to C-type cord I could find for transferring images from my camera (Fuji X-H1) to a small portable drive. The cables themselves have a flexible braided sheath with strain-relief at each connector. The 1-foot cord packs without tangling in the camera bag.
