Digital Cameras Canon G7X

I replaced my 4 year old S100 Canon with this G7X Mark II, and I am very happy with the increased resolution and more user controlled functions. I wish it had not cost so much more, but searching and looking online it is holding it's value both retail and on the used market, therefore I made the jump. This is unlike some other point and shoots that drop in price when used. It's heavier and larger than my S100 was, but only a little and well worth al the extra features. The only thing wrong with all most all mirror less cameras is, that they don't have a viewfinder for outdoor use when the daylight obscures the LCD display. This pertains to all cameras of this type, and is only a minor issue and unavoidable. The flash is adequate as is the zoom range. I print large format photos using mostly an FX (full frame) Nikon, but this small G7X with 20.1 MP will still make a large (36) canvas with very acceptable resolution. I only shoot video now an then, but it also works well. Love the camera, buy it if you have the extra money and need the controls this offers, otherwise the G9X is similar. B&H has the best customer service and returns, so I always buy from them.

I have 1 for each of my 4 digital cameras because they are the do everything lens.

I bought this camera to upgrade from my SX710HS. It is a definite improvement. I actually have this camera for it's zoom and carry a G7X MarkII as my primary camera. So with both I have good coverage from Macro to Long Distance. Also this camera has the new Digic 8 sensor in it that makes a big difference. This camera works well in low light but is not at it's best. Well lighted or sunlight conditions is where it excels. The "Zoom" on this camera is excellent and that is what I bought it for. A plus is the macro and movie modes. I wish a software update could be had for a multi frame focus (Face + Tracking) like the G7X MarkII. But that might be asking a bit much or I need to look further into the cameras adjustments for this. Right now I have it on the exact same focus adjustment as my Canon but I only get a single point focus and it is random on the screen. Overall this is a very good point and shoot camera. All the shooting modes have their place and work well. I tried to supply as many pics as I could to cover the cameras ability (Limited to six).

My Canon G7X fits perfectly in here. It is very hard and although I haven't used it yet I can tell that it will serve it's purpose.

I purchased this cap to protect the lens shutters on the front of my recently purchased Canon G7X...it fits perfectly and still allows you to put the G7X in your pocket and be happy that the lens front will not be damaged. Highly Recommended
