Digital Cameras For Vintage Photos

I ordered this for a few vintage cameras that I have. Nikon SP3, Nikon F and Canon Canonet. With exception to the Canon the cameras do not have meters and the Canon is not really very accurate and kills batteries. This little meter fits nicely on all three cameras (additional hot shoe mount needed for Nikon F) and looks great. The digital readout is very nice and this can be adjusted to read in third, half or full stops. I tested the meter against a Gossen Luna Pro as well as a Sekonic digital meter and so far all readings are accurate. I am so glad I pulled the plug on this meter and now look forward to taking it out in the field. 5 |

I have been a Nikon digital camera fan for the past 15 years or so. I have not had to make adjustments to photos from this camera as I have for older Nikon digital cameras.. Does a great job. 5 |

I have been taking digital photos with point & shoot cameras for years, but finally decided on this DSLR. Small, light, and amazing! Very pleased with the quality of the photos just using the P(rogram) setting, but it can do so much more. The 2 lenses in the bundle compliment each other perfectly. There is so much here that a dedicated book is a must; I downloaded the ebook version of David Busch's Canon EOS Rebel SL2/200D Guide to Digital SLR Photography, which will go a long way towards helping figure things out. The LED screen is amazing, and the articulation makes it 10x more useful. Pros may have nits to pick with this 'entry-level' camera, but regular folks looking for a first DSLR won't go wrong with the SL2. 5 |

I've been taking photos for over 40 years and was reluctant to get into digital cameras, let alone mirrorless ones! I tried several mirrorless over the years including Sony, and was not a fan. But after reading the Z6 reviews I just had to try it. And I believe this is my favorite camera ever! Fabulous Nikon build quality, of course, and amazing performance with the full-frame sensor. I absolutely love it and hope to use it for many years to come! 5 |

I've been taking photos professionally for more than 35 years, mostly in a studio, so I've only really owned higher end point-and-shoot cameras (Leica D-Lux 3 and 4) for general picture taking outside the studio. That is, until I bought the Fuji X-Pro3. Even though I owned a few Leica M lenses, I just couldn't justify buying and M10, especially since it seemed to be short on features compared to other high-end digital cameras. I think the X-Pro3 has a great compliment of modern digital camera features blended with an old-school camera layout and feel. I've compared the quality of photos it takes with my best studio cameras (Pentax 645Z & Fuji GX680 w. Phase One digital back) and the X-Pro3 holds its own in terms of dynamic range and overall feel. I like being able to change film simulations for different shooting situations. And, coming from a film camera background, I don't at all mind not having its back screen showing all the time. I bought a few lenses for my X-Pro3: a XF16-55MMF2.8 R LM WR; XF10-24MMF4 R OIS WR and a XF50-140MMF4 R LM OIS WR and they're all tack-sharp and have a heft and construction quality that matches my old Leica M lenses. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my X-Pro3 system. And the camera body and all three lenses cost a little more than just HALF of what a Leica M10r body alone would have cost. 5 |
