Digital Fm Stereo With Outside Antenna

This receiver does a great job of playing my 60-80 records through its Phono channel at volumes close to what I remember back then when I was playing them in a band at the clubs. Clean and accurate. My only wish for the receiver would be: 1: Not have a proprietary FM antenna My reception is a little on the week side and I always used an amplified FM antenna to pull in a lot more stations from Philly, New York and Chicago. 2: Wish it have a PreAmp Out and Amp In connections so I could add my 10 band graphic equalizer to the system to further tailor the sound output more. But all and all for the price, this is a good system hub.

Easy to install, works perfectly. My new outdoor FM antenna was introducing a lot of hum to my stereo, even if I was listening to a CD and not the tuner. I installed this between the preamp and the power amp and the noise was instantly and totally gone. I did not notice any degrading of the audio quality.

This simple all-purpose telescoping antenna fits any TV or FM Tuner with an F59 coaxial antenna connector, in addition to the Williams Sound/AV equipment that was its original purpose. I purchased 3, while they were still available. Sturdily made and delivered fast via DHL & USPS. Thanks again, BH Photo!

Don't even need to deploy the antenna to get fine reception of the FM station 50 miles from us. Sounds great. Easy to tune. Feels sturdy. Priced right.

When I purchased this I saw it had everything I needed. Then there was one glitch I never expected. There is a thin wire for the FM antenna. Not the same as years gone by when you were about to use a cable wire and hookup an antenna.

FM roof antenna produced buzz on model one though old KLH twenty-one with iffy power switch liked it. Repackaged called for RA advised to use wire in box. How sweet it is great tuning and sound! This radio is a triumph beautifully made great size and design, Henry clearly outdid himself. Congratulations to B&H for having it in their catalog at this time and for the knowledgable courteous assistance.

Very capable part 15 FM transmitter. Excelleny quality audio. Nice feature to be able to cut into main audio with an XLR Mike. Supplied antenna is good for about 100 feet. Used a 1/2 wave whip antenna and got at least 300 feet of range with a good clear signal. Will achieve some building penetration on a wood or masonry structure, but signal gets a little fuzzy.

I'm sure it's not for everybody because it lacks some basic features that a lot of other radios have like an on/off switch or one touch access to favorite stations. But I needed to replace a radio that could not pick up a stereo signal in the room where I was using it and it also couldn't take up much space. The Rolls has no problem reproducing a perfect stereo signal that is strong and quiet. And the unit is also extremely compact. I figured that a very basic and straight forward design built by a company in the U.S.A. that makes equipment primarily for professional use would be of excellent quality and I was right. It's an FM tuner that doesn't do anything else and it's solid and simple. I plugged into it's own small power strip so now it has an on/ off switch and since I only listen to a couple of FM stations at the lower end of the FM band and a couple at the higher end tuning back and forth only takes a few clicks of the up or down tuning buttons. It's so great to finally have a clear clean stereo signal in the room I do most of my radio listening.

I bought this about a month ago to replace a 34 year old (!) Sony Stereo receiver. The old one had AM-FM receiver capability. This one only has FM Receiver built-in, but it sounds a lot cleaner than the older model. This one has fewer output jacks than my older one, but is more than adequate for my setup (Sony Stereo Cassette Deck - going on 20 years now also !), and a bluetooth Audio-Technica Record Player. This model also contains the regular size headphone jack AND a standard audio output jack on the front for older style cassette players, walkman's, etc. Very unusual feature but useful for me as I still use some of that older gear from time to time. I primarily bought and use this product for its bluetooth capability which works excellently. I have my phone, and computer able to play music to it through bluetooth. I realize bluetooth specs don't carry the full frequency range for a lot of audio musical pieces (such as classical music), but for the everyday average pop music it's just fine. This is a great entry level unit for a person who is not an audio-phile. I also bought this because of Sony durability in its products. This thing is built like a brick. Good design accents, solid metal frame, heavy duty components. I will always buy Sony products - good balance between cost, design, and functionality. Couldn't be happier with this product.

I needed a simple FM non-stereo radio which could run on AC and had a mono headphone jack. This radio does exactly what I need.
