Digital Photo Frame Plays Mp4

We were looking for a way to convert old 8mm and super 8 film to digital format. My father-in-law had a number of old films and had no way of viewing them. I found this tool online and decided to try it. It works fantastic! The long and short of it is that it takes the films and looks at each frame, it then puts each frame together in mp4 format. It is fantastic and does exactly what I needed. We now have the old films in mp4 format that we can upload to youtube for the entire family to view. It is seamless and easy to use. It will take time to get the films converted because it looks at it frame by frame. 5 |

Overall I'm extremely happy with this system. I'm usingit to scan our parents' 50-60 year old 8mm movies which are in generally poor condition. So far I've scanned 10 3-inch reels with excellent results. The .mp4 files it creates are surprisingly small at 150K per reel. There are no tracking or adjustment controls of any kind except for exposure. I have not had to adjust exposure on anything so far. One movie came out tacking a half a frame off but the rest are fine. Color appears to be very good except when the film itself is faded. I would not leave it unattended because splices sometimes cause it to jam. I have not had any film break. As others have noted the .mp4 file is at 30 fps to everything moves too fast. I intend to edit them to reduce the frame ratebut haven't actually tried it yet. 5 |

Worked right out of the box as advertised. I had already viewed a number of YouTube reviews and demos of the MovieMaker-Pro and knew it wasn't fast -- scanning 1 frame at a time. A standard 50-foot reel will take about 30 minutes to scan. You will then want to put the finish mp4 into a video editor. My Regular-8 scans all had part of the sprocket holes in the image and I had to crop these out. It is best not to leave the machine unattended while scanning. It is subject to jamming from bad film edits and it has no auto shut off at the end of the film or if the film breaks. I set mine in a room that I can watch tv while it's running. The quality is far superior to any of the copy-from-projection-screen methods and because it is scanned single-frame, there is no flicker. The mp4 defaults to 20 frames a second which is between the 18 or 24 fps that was standard for 8mm. Depending on your editor, you can re-adjust this speed back to the original if you want. Very happy so far and the quality is acceptable. The next step up that I found was well over $1000. 5 |

As a digital photo frame, it's awesome. It let's you display pictures that would not necessarily merit printing and framing. Minor downside is manually cropping photos for the 16:9 aspect ratio does not suit all pictures.. For anybody else ordering from overseas, the 12V power adaptor is 110V only in the US version I received. You'll need a 220-110 step-down transformer or simply replace it with something sourced locally. 5 |

This is by far the best digital photo frame I've ever seen. It literally couldn't be any better. The images look brighter, sharper and more alive than the best prints from the most expensive processing labs. I love the feature that allows family members to share photos automatically to my frame from wherever they are. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Just a fantastic product. 5 |

The digital photo frame was perfect for our need. We will be using it to exhibit on our missions board all the missionaries that the church supports on a monthly basis. Its a great visual device. Thank you. 5 |
