As a digital photo frame, it's awesome. It let's you display pictures that would not necessarily merit printing and framing. Minor downside is manually cropping photos for the 16:9 aspect ratio does not suit all pictures.. For anybody else ordering from overseas, the 12V power adaptor is 110V only in the US version I received. You'll need a 220-110 step-down transformer or simply replace it with something sourced locally. 5 |

This is by far the best digital photo frame I've ever seen. It literally couldn't be any better. The images look brighter, sharper and more alive than the best prints from the most expensive processing labs. I love the feature that allows family members to share photos automatically to my frame from wherever they are. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Just a fantastic product. 5 |

The digital photo frame was perfect for our need. We will be using it to exhibit on our missions board all the missionaries that the church supports on a monthly basis. Its a great visual device. Thank you. 5 |

Here in Australia, they no longer sell Sony DVM63HD tapes (I always bought them) and in the stores that still some kind of tape only sell garbage, unreliable tapes that have caused issues with my in the past. Digital Masters then, are no longer affordable and accessible here in Australia. Since I can no longer afford the prices for Sony DVM63HD tapes, Digital Masters are actually cheaper for me if I import them from the USA. I have used them in the past for professional work and I have never had issues and never had to worry about them at all. I never bought a lot of them in the past because they were so expensive here in Australia, but now the prices for them are actually really good considering how limited and expensive tape in general is nowadays. 5 |

2014: bought the original Areca 8050 filled with HGST drives and used primarily for Lightroom/FCPX editing. Zero issues with this RAID. Thunderbolt 1 and see 400-600mb read/write speeds. 2020: Upgrade RAID system for more storage and better performance. After reading/watching all the reviews, I was expecting 800-900mb since my laptop/iMac still thunderbolt 2. RAID 5 with 8x WD Ultrastar providing 1100+mb and I couldn't be happier with these results. For anyone shopping one of these, don't be intimidated by the setup/config that some of the reviews note. It's a little bit of work, but nothing horrible. Honestly, I've had Alexa dongles that were more complicated to setup than this. Also: one of the review sites noted this T3 unit is not backward compatible with thunderbolt2 devices. I'm using the Apple T3-T2 adapter and it's working flawlessly. Thanks Areca for making such a solid performing array! 5 |
