Everything about this filter is first class. I know it is branded as a "basic" filter but honestly this is the filter brand all black and white contrast filters are measured by. And I know what most people are thinking. Why can't I just use software to get the same effective sky or other effect using a digital filter. You can, but a digital filter won't ever remove the UV haze or sharpen a lens by removing the blue content out of the lens. Honestly, the only time I would ever need to use a digital filter instead is for a creative option. I can shoot one frame with and one frame without if I need that option for creativity. I have plans to buy the red and deep red as well. Along with the hollywood black magic 1/4 and 1/2 filters. Schneider and their B+W brand is excellent beyond expectations. Top German filter quality. As a digital photo frame, it's awesome. It let's you display pictures that would not necessarily merit printing and framing. Minor downside is manually cropping photos for the 16:9 aspect ratio does not suit all pictures.. For anybody else ordering from overseas, the 12V power adaptor is 110V only in the US version I received. You'll need a 220-110 step-down transformer or simply replace it with something sourced locally.
