Digital Video Recorder Dvd Burner

Got this to transport my dvd burner that is used when I video high school football games. There is a lot of handling of the gear by several people (students) . This will ease my mind and will insure its protection. Right size and weight. My 3rd Pelian case several Im happy with all of them. Your electronic gear is not complete unless its protected by Pelican.

When I went with a new laptop for video editing that did not have a DVD, Blu-Ray burner installed. I checked out B&H's website. I knew that I did not want the flat, small, plastic external burners I already owned and did not like. The Mercury Pro is built like a tank. I like the fact that in order to load a disc, you must access a draw, drop the DVD in the holder, not snap the DVD on to a center piece. In the short time I have used the Mercury, I've successfully burned 10 Blu Ray discs.

I am using my Toshiba DR420KU DVD Video Recorder to record my favorite shows from PBS as in Masterpiece Theatre using the Maxell 4.7 GB Rewritable DVD-RW discs and the quality of recording from these discs is the greatest. I can format and rewrite with exceptional excellence on the second or third rewrite. I can say it is as close to High Definition as my television.

Since I use a gaming laptop without a dvd player/recorder for video editing and recording, this external 4 port usb adapter makes it super for adding the dvd player. My laptop ports are already in use for other devices and gadgets. The expansion with added usb ports is very helpful.

I bought Pinnacle Studio HD version 15 with the Dazzle video connection. It was easy to install and was so easy to get started I created my first edited video (copied from a VHS tape) within a short time using text title frames. My only problem was the instructions that comes with the Dazzle breakout box talked about starting teh instant DVD recorder which I could not find so I had to import the VHS recorder and then create a movie which gets written on the DVD. This requires twice the time direct recording would takje but not an issue if teh tape isn't too long.

The case is being used for my SONY.. digital HD video camera recorder. It is big so that it will fix and room for digital camera, the ligths, etc... So far (4-5) producer, would like to have one now.
