I received this digital monoculture sample for free. I was able to use it on several occasions. The pictures and video recording is incredibly good. The size fits perfectly in my palm and in my pocket. Recommend for bird watchers and for that quick zoom shot.

If you want the best master digital recording use the SONY DVCAM Master Digital Cassettes. Don't skimp on quality and always buy from B&H - that is who I use!

My firm two of these panels for portable use in recording interviews for the Dastardly Cleverness in the Service of Good podcast. I was prepared for them to make some difference, but not a lot. In fact they're amazingly effective at absorbing sound and reducing reverberation, as you can tell just by standing next to one and speaking. Not a replacement for a professional studio or sound stage, of course, but great for the right situation. NOTE: panels like this are designed to absorb sound reflections, not to provide sound-proofing, which requires construction-level solutions. So they shouldn't be expected to do much at all to block sound coming from outside the recording space.
