Dilute Stock Concentration Calculator

This is a great deal for anyone wanting to try out large format without going broke. I shot this film with ISO 3. The final contrast depends on the developer and technique. If using D-76, dilute stock solution 1:4. With Dektol, dilute about 1:10. The film is not sensitive to safelight, so it can be developed by inspection. If you dilute Dektol too much, you will get film fogging as shown on the upper right. If too concentrated, the contrast will be too high. I have read that pre-flashing this film can make it behave almost like a normal film, just do a google search on this. The emulsion is very sensitive to scratching, so be careful when handling it. Hopefully, B&H will also order this film in 8x10 format soon, as they are now out of stock. The other less contrasty option is the Arista Ortho Litho film, about double the price of this, but still incredibly cheap and available in 8x10.

We've used this as an Xtol substitute in my business and it has never disappointed. The negatives always look great whether you use it stock or dilute it. It also has a long shelf life, sometimes 90 days if stored in a light-tight jug and kept away from direct sunlight in the darkroom. I highly recommend it.

I like this because of the concentration ratio. A little goes a long way! The color changes when the formula has been exalted.

We are using this for canded digital shots. We used it to take shots of kids playing in a playground without disturbing their concentration... as well as for out door sporting events. The lens was fast and.. although it was an overcast day.. it let in enough light to produce wonderful color with no harsh shadows. Althought we have only had it a couple of weeks.. I can tell this will be one of our highest used lenses.

This calculator is beautiful, stylish and perfect. Item exceeded my expectations. I would purchase again.

Once you try it this will be a must have. The side light destruction is eliminated so concentration on your subject is not compromised
