I was not expecting much from these stands since the dimensions are very compact and the price is on the lower end. However, upon deploying them, it turns out the build quality and stiffness is very good when taking into account that they are pretty affordable and have many extension sections. Of course don't expect it to hold a huge softbox and studio strobe, but it should definitely handle a small umbrella and speedlight if you don't raise it to the max height. As a side note, the sections and pieces appear to be made of stamped steel, which might be the reason why the stands seem durable and have a hefty feel to them. The reason I note this is because unfortunately they were shipped to me in just the manufacturer boxes w/o any sort of padding (essentially bare in a very thin cardboard box the same exact size as the stand). The boxes were crushed and mangled in transit, but the stands arrived without major damage (just tiny scratches and dents), which speaks to the robustness. Of course B&H customer service corrected the shipping issue without hesitation, so no worries there, just thought I would mention it in case you were wondering how durable they are.

First off, you need to look at the product dimensions and visualize the size of this product. I have another 150 quart cooler that looks tiny sitting next to the Pelican. But, that size is needed to provide the insulation that gives you extended ice life. I was tired of wasting money on ice during camping trips, and this has fixed the problem. The shipping weight is 81 pounds and take a look at what other vendors want to charge you for standard shipping. With shipping and price, B&H can't be beat.

Great product, shipping was super quick even though I ordered over a holiday weekend and chose the cheapest shipping method.Note about the listed interior dimensions: these are maximum dimensions and the liner inside can encroach on them by about 1/16-1/8 of an inch in places. Overall this is not a big deal unless you were buying a box that was listed as the EXACT size (interior dims) that you need.

I searched for these scrapbook boxes, and this one was the most reasonable price, including shipping. I was delivered in perfect condition.

Very prompt shipping and lovely raw wood finish to my boxes. I particularly noticed how the plywood layers alternated dark/light on the cut seams that show. I would have been satisfied without that aesthetic touch, since an apple box is a utility object. But making it pretty is a bonus.
