Direct Ethernet Cable To Spectrum Modem Not Work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Connectivity is great! The 3.1 modem is on point with delivering over the 1000/35 I'm subscribed to when using an Ethernet cable every single time. Wifi is good too. The 2.4 signal covers my 1800 square foot home perfectly, even without the satellite. Adding the satellite, I can use my own wifi at my mother-in-law's house next door (believe it or not, I love her being my neighbor lol). The 5 signal doesn't reach quite as far, but it still covers the house well, and on it, I hit about 800/30 in almost all areas of my house including the back yard! Pro's that have specific VPN and/or other advanced needs, this combo will do most, but definitely do your research prior to purchase if you fall into this category! The Orbi App is SOLID. Again, nothing too advanced, but absolutely meets every expectation I'd have of any other brand's app and then some. I'd almost forgotten to mention setup; it's so easy. I connected the power and coaxial cable (not provided), connected via an Ethernet cable, Spectrum automatically detected the modem and asked me to sign into my online account (Spectrum's activation took about 10 minutes), scanned the QR code on the front of the modem using my phone's camera, setup a password, changed the wifi name and password to something I like, and that was that. It took a total of 13 minutes (including Spectrum's 10) to do it all start to finish. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and experience. I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for fast, consistent, and easy internet and wifi!

I use this cable at direct connection to my cable modem...Cat6 cables always work better than Cat5e..And this one has the maximum performance i need...

Had standard cable modem/router from spectrum. This one is much better (build and performance)! Setup was easy and flawless!

Replaced my Spectrum cable modem with the best brand on the market. I was having a huge problem with Hue lights. The spectrum modem need to be rebooted many times, and when it did, it took from 3 to 6 days for it to re-sync. After replacing the modem, I have NO problems re-syncing. My network problems are with the ISP and no longer due to the equipment. Thanks NegGear!

We recently 'cut the cable' and went to streaming and our Spectrum modem just wasn't reliable. I replaced my Spectrum modem with this modem based on reviews and am more than pleased so far. It was very easy to startup and is providing very reliable service!

Had spectrum modem (ugh) and Netgear router. Cut cable and added a Netgear modum. Easy set up and connection.

I was using a stock Spectrum cable modem for the longest time and it was so slow it it practically wheezed. I have a pretty fast connection but with the old modem it slowed to a crawl regularly. I got the Modem and it was an amazing difference. I went from slow af to blazing fast as soon as I set it up. It was super easy to install and I’ve been thrilled with it ever since.

I cut the cable with Direct TV and installed this modem easily. I had to split the cable because the phone provider modem had to have a phone insert for the landline. I live in a low area and sometimes my cell phone doesn't work. Just register first and visit the web site update any firmware and easy peasy.. Thanks Netgear for a quality product.

I have the Spectrum Gig network. The upload speed is much better now with this modem.
