I bought this to connect my aging Samsung monitor, which only has DVI and VGA inputs, to my new computer which only has DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. Since the monitor doesn't have a sound system in it, DisplayPort is the natural choice, and I use the HDMI of for my pen tablet. Cable works flawlessly with no problems in picture quality and has plenty of length to be able to stow the computer out of the way. It feels durable enough to last many years. 5 |

We purchased this cable for use with a new monitor. We've never used a Mini DisplayPort connection before, but it is working well with no issues whatsoever. The cable seems to be of very good quality, and I especially appreciate the solid connection with the PC interface and the monitor. WOW! I bought a fancy new LG monitor here at B&H to use as an external monitor for my 2017ish upgraded MacBook Air. This was a recommended product I tossed in my shopping cart because of its mention of the Mini DisplayPort connectivity. THRILLED I did because it came a day after my new monitor ... and in the mean time, I tried two other cords I had lying around with rather bogus results: 1) Old cord #1 was a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt 1 version) to HDMI — Fuzzy as heck but no lag or mouse-move jitter 1) Old cord #2 was HDMI to HDMI cord fitted with Mini DisplayPort adapter — Crystal clear but horrifically laggy and jittery display Obviously I'm not technical but I recommend buying this cable even if you have various options in your electronics junk drawer at home that you think will work ... they might not! 5 |
