Displayport To Hdmi Cable Macbook 2009

I bought this cable because I was having an intermittent problem with my M1 MacBook Air freezing, showing pink screen, then resetting when connected to an external monitor. I read somewhere that using a DisplayPort cable rather than the HDMI one that I was using would help (perhaps the HDMI cable was causing the problem?). Anyway, the DisplayPort cable works fine and the Freeze/Reset problem has not recurred - so far.

It's always better to have single cable, than to use an adapter and a cable. This one does the job of connecting a DisplayPort to HDMI device.

My new computer has one HDMI and one DisplayPort output and I have two monitors I want to use.� This DisplayPort cable lets me use the second monitor now.� The 3' length is more than enough without having extra coiled up. My screen is 2056x1080.� Since this cable is 4K rated, it works great for my extra wide but not 4K large screen.

I needed to a cable to connect my laptop to TVs. Works Perfectly. Even has sound. Used Displayport to HDMI. I haven't tried HDMI to Displayport.

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive.

Important note is that this is one-way: DisplayPort to HDMI, not the other way around. I chose to go with an adapter like this, rather than a cable with different DisplayPort and HDMI ends, as this gives me the freedom to change the HDMI cable I'm using with the computer if I want longer or shorter. We were hooking up an HDMI TV as a second monitor on a PC that had DisplayPort, this cable was perfect. It was the length we needed and avoided having to use an adapter from the DisplayPort on the PC to change to HDMI. Highly recommend use of this cable over a double ended HDMI cable and an adapter.

I recently added a second monitor to my office and my docking station only had one HDMI cable which I was using for my current monitor. I ordered the monitor and the displayport and everything works like a charm. Easy to install. Long enough to reach.

Now my late 2009 MacBook run like a new one.

I bought this cable to be able to use my iMac 27 2009 as a large external monitor for my 2015 MacBook i7 15. It allows me to use both screens, the large one to work on and the MacBook monitor to hold my windows and tools. The first cable I was sent was in the right bag but was the wrong cable. This one was correct and stays in place and makes a solid contact. There are no cons.
