Diy Camera System For Home

This device identified an out-of-phase condition in the midrange driver of my DIY speaker system---even though they were seemingly correctly wired to the clearly marked polarities on the custom crossover and the driver itself. I switched polarity, and the previously-undefined soundstage has now come into crisp focus allowing me to pinpoint individual orchestral instruments. This fix easily surpasses the purchase of a $20,000 amplifier. 5 |

A much better system than Google Home. 5 |

Did the DIY installation for this thermostat about a month ago and loving it so far! The instructions for installation were clear and easy to follow, and the helpdesk was prompt and helpful in diagnosing an issue with an extra wire. Overall loving the features of this thermostat and how easy it is to use. Being able to control the temperature from my phone in the middle of the night or when I don't feel like walking over to the thermostat itself is amazing. I also really like the built-in humidity and air quality sensors, giving me more information about the condition of the air in the home than I've ever had access to before. Overall a great product and I look forward to integrating with other smart home technology in the future. 5 |

I built a small studio at home and created a DIY background support attached to a wall. But my homemade pole was somewhat unsuccessful. It sagged to much despite all efforts to make it more solid. So I went to my favorite place, B&H, and found this marvelous product. It is everything I needed in my studio and since it is adjustable I can use it on location with a couple of light stands! Wish I had done this in the beginning!! 5 |

I use this for a DIY alarm system in my house. I have 3 sensors connected to one base unit. The base unit is connected to a power source and an external 30w siren. The sensors detect motion...siren sounds. I turn power on and off via smart plug on my phone. Works like a charm. My only concern would be for the durability of the sensors. As can be imagined sensors are usually placed in high traffic areas which means activity happens all day long. If this will affect longevity of the product I do not know, only time will tell. 5 |

So far so good. Much clearer then my old analog coax system and enjoy the flexibility to DIY POE cat 5 cables to fit my needs. 5 |

I use this with Geshelli Labs excellent JNOG3 DAC. I was initially disappointed with the sound stage of this DAC. It was wide but the depth was not very layered. I have had past success improving sound with upgraded power supplies, so decided to try an iFi as a quick test before going linear. Might as well get the top model. I am very impressed. The soundstage deepened and layers emerged. Imaging and detail improved. This really unleashed the $600 JNOG3 to produce a nice holographic image that rivals my $1400 DIY Ian Canada monster (I have an obsession with DACs. Got the JNOG3 as my first AKM test unit ). My system is fairly high end: DIY BMR Philharmonitor speakers with high-end crossover components, DIY 24-strand OCC braided speaker cables, DIY Hypex Nilai500 monoblocks, DIY Goldpoint attenuator in lieu of a preamp, JNOG3 DAC (for this review) with Kimber Hero XLR interconnects. Silver solder, copper/gold connectors and all that jazz. I share this setup for context. My system is VERY revealing and sensitive to any change in the signal path or power supplies. The improvement from adding the iPower X was instantly noticeable on my system. The improvement may not be as apparent on a less revealing system. YMMV. As a simple, drop-in power supply upgrade, the iPower X is a low-cost way to improve low voltage audio equipment performance. Highly recommended. 5 |
