Do Outlet Extenders Reduce Power

Ordering and Shipping - B&H Photo shipped the product on time and it arrive undamaged and well protected in the box. Product - The Eve Energy Outlet arrived in new condition in unopened retail packaging. The package includes the outlet, faceplate, and wire nuts for installation. Installation - You will need a neutral wire in order to successfully install the Eve Energy Outlet. The device itself is thicker than a regular outlet, so a shallow electrical box won't work. A regular or deep electrical box is best. Follow the included instructions and you should not have any problems. Setup - After the Eve Energy Outlet is installed and power has been turned back on, the device can be paired in the normal way for your home automation system. I'm using Apple Home, and the pairing through the Apple Home app is as simple as taking a picture of the pairing QR code. The device is initially created as a group of two outlets in Apple Home. Turning the device on / off changes the state of both outlets. You will need to ungroup the device in Apple Home if you want to control each outlet individually. The buttons on the front can also be used to manually turn the outlets on / off. They are somewhat small and will be very difficult to press when both outlets have something plugged into them. The Eve Energy Outlet responds very quickly to requests in the Apple Home app to turn the individual outllets on / off. It has never dropped out of the Apple Home system, and it reconnects quickly after power outages. Speaking of power outages, each plug in the outlet will return to its prior on/off state after a power interruption. Overall - This is an excellent smart outlet with solid build quality, quick response times, and a straightforward / easy installation process.

Do not buy it if your intention is to reduce camera shake: the magnet is strong so when you switch filters there is still the possibility of some micro movements. But obviously less than when screwing a 10 or 15 stop ND filter. But this is really nice when switching filters fast.

This power station is amazing. Sometimes I don't have an outlet near me and I use this as my outlet!!

I like that it is small and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It also has 3 USB-A ports and a 5 foot cord. It would be great for a student desk. I've been using these flash extenders for over 12 years for shooting night High School football games. Yes, it looks dorky, but the results are great. I can do a whole game on 1/4 power with just the batteries in the flash unit. No need to lug around an external power pack. A little difficult to use at first. Takes a bit of time to adjust the beam since it's so narrow. A lot easier to do with digital. Nightmare back in the film days. Once you have it adjusted, you'll be very pleased.

Used other extenders and was able to extend the power without issue. But the data was still kind of off. These extended them both using the POE directly from the switch. Recommend them to anyone looking to use existing cat6 cable vs switching to fiber.

These power cable extenders were suggested by B&H when I ordered a UPS. They certainly serve their purpose allowing me to use all of the outlets on the UPS. Some outlets would have been blocked by large connectors on some of my peripherals.

I have three sets of these USB extenders and they work well. The receiver has a 4-port USB hub, and an external USB hub is not needed. I power the receiver.

Just hook the battery to it and plug it in to the power outlet, no cords to deal with.
