Do Portable Air Conditioners Remove Humidity

I often record in my apartment or at the studio where I work - there is a ton of background noise like traffic, air conditioners, and creaky floors. The high pass filter for perfect for filtering those consistent background hums. Of course, a little fancy editing too. Arrived right in the delivery window, customer service from B&H is great as always.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a lifesaver especially during the summer when everyone is blasting their fans and air conditioners and risking outages. I’ve had my power go out multiple times in a span of a week and I had enough time to save everything I needed to. The size also helps as my small apartment is already pretty cramped.

I have been using Furman power conditioners for many years, mainly to provide a portable power strip with reasonably clean power. Providing adjustable light to rack components in often dim stage conditions is more than welcome too. I use the Furman with short ANSI power cables (12") to minimize the clutter in the backside of the rack. At 12" in depth, the backside of the Furman is short enough to clear the rear cover, yet long enough to reach without skinning my knuckles. Kudos! Furman. How about a 1-space Furman UPS?

Do what it's supposed to do. I always use it indoor to remove wind due to pole handling.

I have really enjoyed being able to look at the different information like air quality and humidity. Being able to turn on and off from another location is really nice.

This device is amazing, I am not sure how it works because it dehumidifies yet there is no container to empty. It does not remove all of the humidity, it is relative. It reduces the humidity to a substantially lower percentage than the ambient humidity in the room. Worth every dime.

I have three of these, and they make all the difference for the 1200D. Do keep in mind to properly use these with the 1200D one has to remove the barn doors. It is easy to remove them, but it does not say anywhere to do so.

I live in the south where humidity just happens - even inside an air conditioned house. I've had lenses fall victim to the fungus monster before and didn't want that to happen to my Canon L glass. But the best part is I can organize all my camera gear in one spot where I can find it easily when I'm packing for a photo expedition. I bought a two drawer Ikea cabinet to set this on and that makes it easier to access the cabinet and store pieces that don't need to be in the dry cabinet. Now everything is in one spot and well organized - no more frantic searching through shelves and closets for a missing piece of gear.

In Florida with it's humidity, as well as travel to coatal towns - where there air is saturated with moisture from all the sea and water surroundings - this kkeps the camers's and lenses working. It stops lens and equipment rusting, and interference with the natural greecing - it keeps mine working longer, as long as I make sure they are stored protected - from rust as well, but locking up.

I've seen the effects of humidity in Florida, even in an air conditioned house with temperatures allowed to go up to 80 F while away from home and the camera in a good bag but no desiccant in the bag. Being an occasional user at the time, I was really surprised to see the mold on the camera grips after the camera had gone unused for a while. Now, with new camera and lenses: Saw these at B&H and bought them to replace similar sized, but tearing and spilling paper enclosed bags. Construction looks good. 1 for camera bag and 1 for new tripod and bag. Yep, old tripod rubber going bad (sticky) just sitting unbagged in closet.
